The way she delivers “Jamie is probably feeling just fine” is so incredible.

Cynthia adds so much to this (compared to previous people we won’t mention). I watch the moment at 1:30 over and over. The way she switched from mournful to a flash of steely anger is absolutely everything. This woman is a gift to the entire world.

I love how Cynthia Erivo presents a Cathy different to how Anna Kendrick portrayed the character. I think that's so cool. Same story but different personalities does that make sense

Perfect sense ! I completely agree with you too .

I adore this song and every version I've heard is beautiful but paints a different picture. Sherie's is very soft, bittersweet so to speak. Anna's is angry-bitter, the sort of "what did I do that was so wrong?" sort of feel. Lea's is absolutely heartbreaking. Ariana's is soft, mournful, almost sweet. Cynthia's is sort of a mix of the mournful aspect and bittersweet aspect

I got ghosted by my boyfriend and quickly after I found out I was pregnant with his kid. Texted him but he still hasn’t contacted me. I haven’t told my friends but one of them sent me this song yesterday. I can’t communicate enough to them how much I love it.

One of the saddest songs in musical theater, sung masterfully. Brava. Her combination of power and vulnerability make for an outstanding Cathy.

her singing is absolutely beautiful... but the facial expressions, and story telling is simply magnificent. SO much pain.

I honestly can't think of anyone who can act a song as well as Cynthia Erivo does, while also SLAYING the vocals. Is she a human or a god???

the way she attacks her entrances is so beautiful, there’s no sliding into that first note, she already has it and it’s so effortless. it’s a real show of how talented she really is

Ms.Cynthia Erivo is a gift.

That last "I'M" gives me chills every...single...time.

Wow. Just wow. Cynthia Erivo is that rare singer who not only has an extraordinary voice - range, tone, control, power, beauty, you name it - but can also tell a story or reveal a character within a song like almost no one else singing today. She is just amazing.

How can this woman act so subtly but w so much impact?? Amazing

I loved the last “and I”m”..... still hurting. The way she released the note was like the character screaming in frustration for the life she will no longer have. Well done! Chills. 👏🏻

her voice is stunning and her acting and the levels of her acting is so honest. Honestly, I personally think she was way better then the movie with Anna Kendrick with this song. It gives me shivers every time.

Superb! Jason Robert Brown brilliantly rethought this musical by getting people of color for this concert. I hope he'll consider to do this kind of engagement again and get Asian actors to play Jamie and Cathy (Lea Salonga will be perfect!).

By far the best version. Both powerful and character driven whereas a lot of other versions are one or the either

I was teary eyed even before she hit the chorus. The pain and betrayal struck me.

Apart from Mrs. Lea Solanga's rendition this is hands down THE best rendition I've ever heard this sung. Absolutely heartbreakingly stunning 💗 #BlackExcellence 🙌🏽💁🏽✊🏽💗

I just spent the past hour listening to(and favoriting) Cynthia Erivo videos. She's amazing.

Some how she made this 100 times more powerful without any tears at all. I don't think I'll be able to listen to the original again. This is BEAUTIFUL
