0.08 is the answer. If you round it to the tenths place, then you get 0.1 which is 10%. So, Mizkif actually got it right.

In fact he got it spot on if you listen to how Mizkif explained it to him (rounding up to the whole number) .Then he gets told he was "completely off" even and almost get taken out. Good thing he didn't give a shit about winning, Alinity would have been raging in his position lol.

The answer is a little bit more complicated than that, because 10% is lilleraly a tenth of something. So rounding it to the nearest tenths percent would be 8.3%, but rounding it to the nearest tenths is 10%, or if you want to the nearest tens percent. I think the question asks more for nearest tenths percent myself, but I also think the question is not well defined and you could argue for both sides.

Now, Miz says, "if it's 5.4, round it to 5, and if it's 5.6, round it to 6", which would be rounding to the nearest whole number; or Ones place. ...even then, the answer would be 8%

yeah I spent a while trying to figure out the tenth place of the percentage as that was how it was worded in the question. I got that it was 8 point something quite quickly but I forgot how to do the long division after that. But looking at their answers I guess mine would have been fine. Mizkif didn't understand the question however and so Alinity and Hbox were both fair. Hbox also said it's 8 point something but put 10% because Mizkif had described it in such a way that that seemed correct. If you view it in decimal form then of course 10% = 0.1 would be correct but it said what percentage increase (round to tenth place), hence why when they put the solution htey had 8.3% not 10%

@@bingbong2179 Common math mistake on whoever wrote this questions part. It should have said "round to the nearest tenth of a percent" to clear up any confusion. What Mizkif said to hbox was technically correct, 10% would have been the right answer since the question and the statement to round were in seperate sentences and the "rounding" statement made no reference to it being a percent. Really just an overly and poorly setup question. The answer they wrote was technically wrong although if I was the teacher I'd take either answer in this scenario.

It's crazy becuase 10k is seriosuly up there with the prize pools of the tournaments he competes in for a living. Obviously he's been streaming more and more as well but this is huge for him.

43:09 "the hardest questions on the show" is probably one of the easiest for me, literally way easier to calculate than the percentage increase/decrease ones

He was given the tasks by Eurystheus but he did them in order to atone for killing his wife in a fit of rage. He was told to go get the 12 tasks from him by the oracle of Delphi which is in service to Apollo. The questions is kind of scuffed. Several questions have been today. Although the details vary he was never in service to a King.

most of the questions are more of the give the best answer type of question... that being said he was told by the oracle to do eurytheus's tasks (most versions of the story just say he was told to serve eurystheus of a period of time). the 12 tasks were not determined by apollo, zeus, or any other god - they were chosen by eurystheus directly, he was definitely in service to him. the whole point/theme of the 12 labours story is that their were two princes hercules and eurystheus, and even though hercules had his destiny stolen from him by hera and was forced to serve some random, he was able to overcome it through hardwork and whatever to overcome the humiliation brought to him by hera and her champion eurystheus.

I have the Heroes book and had read it just recently and unquestionably he was put into service of Eurystheus. The words from the priestess (while taken over by Hera) were this, "for ten years he must serve without questoin, whatever he is told to do, Heracles must do. Whatever task he is set to perform, these must Hercalese willingly undertake, only then can he be free." and before that "Hercales must take himself to Tiryns and supplicate himself before the throne". That being the throne of Eurystheus. There is only one King who he could possibly be considered as serving in the story. Zeus was always on his side. If it had said what person you could make an argument for him really just serving Hera in all of this. But either way the question was fair, just very difficult. While I had read the book recently I had to go back to the book to remember who it was.

Awesome stuff, loved the whole series, I do however think some of the questions need to be checked over with a finer comb if this is to be done again. A couple of them were worded a bit weird and some of them didn’t have a clear answer because of that. That aside, it was fantastic fun to watch and seeing Hbox winning at the end on his birthday was incredible

There was basically two versions of the 8.3% question: 1) rounding like crazy which is extremely easy and everyone should get points because the only fault was Asmon and NL not catching the rules changing mid-answers. HB and Alinity wanting to be recognized for doing some elementary grade maths is dumb as hell. 2) rounding to the tenth, everyone's wrong, HB could have a case for voiding it because Miz explained it wrong once, then explained it even more wrong when asked again. Skipping it was the best choice for sure.

Agreed, this is what happens when the "teacher" isn't any smarter than the students. It should also be noted that if they were to round to the nearest "tenth" in the way Miz explained it, Asmon's 6% and NL's 14% would also both be correct since they both only 4 numbers away from 10 and could be rounded accordingly. That was frustrating, but at least Miz made the right choice.

Can we get the OTK Olympics? Get athletes on and have them compete in different athletic competitions, like races, wrestling, weightlifting, skiing, fencing, swimming, diving, biking etc. You could have a go pro on each contestant so they can kinda vlog while they compete on bikes or in a race. The wrestling matches of twitch streamers could break the internet. Instead of doing 3 f's you could have a point system, either 1-5 or 1-10 points depending on if it would be fair for the men to compete against the women. A race would be 1-10 points and wrestling or weightlifting would be 1-5 points for a competition within genders. The winners are the boy and girl with the most points, and they come back for the finale with every winner from past episodes. The winners could act like a pair and have a team name and could even choose to train together after they win in their episode. The finale has every competition to determine the most all around athletic male and female. You could also have OTK battle royale kind of like what Mr. beast did with paintball.

That Inca question blew my mind. I was just thinking about Machu Picchu and Pizarro earlier in the game wondering if that could be a history question in the future, then it came up. I'm a god damn prophet. I can see the future LOL...even if it's entirely random and of no use to me whatsoever. Also that's literally not a question that ever came up in all my school years. No way in hell that's a 6th grade question anywhere outside of Spain or Peru. Literally had to research my family ancestry for weeks in my adult life which branched me out into other conquistadors which lead me to Pizarro years back. And the only reason I remembered his name is because it's very rare and unique to me since I've never met someone who possesses that family name.

@@milagrinho_ no she shouldn’t have. Miz didn’t explain the question well at all, and they all would’ve rounded to 10 if they knew what he was talking about. She was also just incorrect, and was only considered “correct” because she didn’t know what a tenth was.

@@jackmcg0 no she knew what mizkif was asking the others didn’t listen lol, mizkif asked it completely wrong but hungrybox asked for clarification and Alinity and hungrybox were the only ones that listened, yes if it was properly asked she would’ve got it wrong but what the teacher says is what matters

@@phantom8699 if it were properly asked everyone would’ve gotten the same wrong answer that he would’ve considered correct. 6 and 14 round to 10. She didn’t get it any more right than the others, and still had the wrong answer when she claimed she was correct. If actually had the right answer then she’d have a reason to be upset, but they all rounded to 10.

Normally I'd say "yo" but this is the final showdown so YOOOOOOOOOOOO

Awesome show with a lot of fun moments, but someone else needs to write the questions if you're doing another season.

Was gonna be upset if Destiny got out early because I though a 3 way battle between him NL and HungryBox would be legendary... but honestly this is the funniest he’s ever been, that Alinity cat apology is easily the best Schooled moment yet 💀

A tenth is .1 if he said a hundredth it would be .01 a thousand would be .001 and so on

Rounding to the nearest tenths would still come out to 10%. The decimal related to the increase was .08, rounding that to the nearest tenths is .1; .1 in percentage form is 10%. Alinity and Hungrybox were 100% correct.
