Maria's thoughts on the Pieta' scene reminded me of a book for children which was published back in the '40s. It had Bible stories plus other stories with Bible application and one of them was called "Please Remember Mother". It recounts Mary standing at the foot of Jesus' cross and thinking back on what the angel Gabriel had promised her about God giving Jesus the throne of His father David and wondering if the cross could be the throne. Also, she recalls what Simeon prophesied to her and wonders if the cross is the sword which would pierce her soul.

What an honor to watch an incredible cast especially Jonathan. You brought an enlightened sight to a more realistic and better understanding of Jesus Christ. And you speak with a passion in your vision in seeing Him. Thank you

I have a letter I want to mail to Jonathan Roumie, but sure of his address, so I will comment here. I have watched all of THE CHOSEN that is available at this point. I am awed by the proper attitude and value, respect, and fear that he possesses, and the obvious honor he counts it to play the role of the Lord Jesus, our Savior. I want to thank you, Mr. Jonathan Roumie, for being willing to offer yourself to be used. I have watched so many films but none can even compare to THE CHOSEN, with Jonathan portraying our Savior. May he be blessed in his lifetime.

I saw your play as a video in April. What an amazing ensemble! I have been procrastinating about writing Jonathan to tell him how much I enjoyed the play. Now I can tell both of you how affected I was about Mary's siloquy! I have never seen this real "passion" before. God bless all of you for your talent and faith. Maria Vargo probably should have said "hug Jonathan" instead of "hug Jesus" as he is a human actor portraying Jesus, albeit par excellence. When James Caviezel was playing the role of Christ in "The Passion of the Christ" in Italy, he was greeted in costume by Italian women coming up to him and saying things like "Bellissimo Gesu' " (Very beautiful Jesus), he looked so convincing.

I so wish I could see this live one day. Living kinda far being from New Brunswick, Canada. Wish you could come in our corner of America, $15 to $20 per ticket is less than we pay for little Christmas plays by locals here. Wow, wish I can meet you one if these days Jonathan Roumie. Well done except the speaking by Mary was strange as it did not mesh with the sword through her heart. That type of pain has been much more effectively acted with pain and tears. No lines.

P.S. You need better Roman Helmets.
