The Last Blade will always be my favorite sword video game, I also like the samurai shodown, but The Last Blade is much more different and I feel it is much better both in gameplay and story and character design, it's a pity that I don't There has been a third part due to the bankruptcy of SNK, I hope that one day SNK will make a remake or a third part as well as Samurai Shodown 2019. 😓😓😍😍👍👍

Hibiki is my favorite and to see her return in samsho is so cool. It shows the game isn't forgotten. Who knows this may get some sort of update.

A reboot of The Last Blade using the SamSho's graphic style and adding or changing some mechanics to make the game more to-the-date would be nice, LB2 and Garou where some of the very lasts games from the old SNK and it's a shame that both franchises never looked the daylight once again.

Not going to lie. This looks better than their 3D graphics. It looks better than many games in general. I hope they start making sprite games again.

@@bolthesorcerer3570 They say that but Arc still uses sprites. Kof 12 and 13 just did it in a crazy way for a company with their funds. Personally I want them to go back to Neo Geo style sprites. That shouldn't be too expensive. SVC Chaos is SNK sprites at their peak and looks better than most stuff to me

@@realamericannegro977 The Last time they used sprites was for BBTAG and thats because they reutilized almost all sprites from other games only making new sprites for RWBY Girls, Yumi and Blitztank to not made them look too different to the rest, MBTL uses sprites and even if I love them its more because French Bread is a small company that do what they want, unlike SNK they dont need big sales to survive. Has I said, I like sprites, I love them actually, but still being something that I thing arent neccesary to come back

Would be cool, but SNK at least right now even doing better than they have for a long time won't touch that style. It was very costly and slow progress, hence why they had to make KOFXII a dream match and glorified beta. And it was done by making 3D models and rotoscoping every single frame of animation, making sprites for each frame. There is a reason even after rereleasing kofxiii on modern consoles with rollback soon they don't, say, add in a new character or whatnot. I'm not trying to be a cynic I promise lol it's a cool idea, but it just may not be in the cards. Some kind of reboot would be awesome though.

Incredible game, been playing both since it's free with my amazon prime membership and I'm hooked. Easily one of the best fighting game series in history!

But it's hard to pull off, since the super lightning barrier that can tank 3 hits must remain unbroken for the move to be performed.

Always found it funny how they nerfed Kagami SO bad in the 2nd game, I think the best thing they gave Kagami was his unblockable ground Desperation Move in his base form which is only available in his hyper form in the 1st game.

first time you saw him?? this game got a lot of reference and pays homage to some popular anime series, even video games, the dude called Moriya is based on Kenshin Himura from Rounin Kenshin but some of his victory pose are based on Ryu victory's pose from Street Fighter, the Ninja Guy is an ancestor of Eiji Kisaragi from Art of Fighting 2.

its more combo based. think of it as samsho is Street fighter and last blade 2 is Kof (one is more footsies and he other is fast and combo heavy). I like more than samsho i would 100% recommended.

SamSho is a strategic game where one slash can determine the fate of the fight, while The Last Blade is a combo based weapon fighting game. one is a slow paced while the other is a fast paced game

​​@@TheSuperSmashBros01SNK is still around and just released a new game in their flagship series King of Fighters XV, they also included a character from this series in their newest samurai shodown as dlc. They have gone bankrupt on numerous occasions throughout the late 90s and early to mid 2000s but nowadays are in a better spot than they have been in a long time. It's mainly due to this series being a cult classic or just may not have gotten around to it in a more optimistic opinion. Also to add to it, the plot for the series was pretty much nearly wrapped up by the second game. If they did make a new one it's either have to be a reboot, a new story, or some kind of modern day rehash or something of sorts

But yeah it’s crazy with how many times SNK has gone bankrupt, bought out by Pachinko, to their titles not selling enough, join Pachinko, and then KOF started to live on again. It’s an interesting story for sure.

Akari. Her desperation with Ex Mode is the most killing act in this game

Yes. EX mode is just a combo mode that combines the best parts of power and speed, including the power mode-only super moves, and speed only furious fandango combo sequences. You should be good. I know cuz I was just playing this last night on MAME lol.
