The largest man-made island, Flevoland! Including Almere, Oostvaardersplassen, Lelystad, de Batavia!
The largest man-made island is located in The Netherlands and is called the Flevopolder. It is located in the province of Flevoland and today I will make a road trip through this region. I will start my video in the biggest city on the Island, Almere. The video also includes iconic locations like national park the "Oostvaardersplassen", the 17th century Dutch trading ship the "Batavia" and the two former Island Urk and Schokland of which the latter is an Unesco World Heritage Site. Thanks! The Batavia is fantastic to visit for both kids and adults. For me the ship was more impressive in reality then I thought it would be. I can imagine that you loved it as a child.

Flevoland is not an island. An island always reaches above sea level. Flevoland is a "polder".
