Cheddar Gorge in Somerset is a location I love to visit. From my photography days (when it was a hobby and not a business) to really exploring everything cheddar has to offer.
if you wondered about the cheese. They basically kept cheddar cheese in the caves for optimal temperatures. They do go a bit mental with trying to flog cheese over there. but apart from that I would highly recommend the caves! the walk around cheddar from above is a beautiful route. But I prefer to view things from ground level or half way up close to the roads. the vast height of the gorge from below is breathtaking. Jacobs ladder is a stairway that will take you to a viewing tower. You can't see the gorge from this tower.
