The Largest Bronze Age Battle Ever Recorded in History | Battle of Kadesh | 1274 BC
Discover the incredible story of the Battle of Kadesh, the largest bronze age battle ever recorded in history, which took place in 1274 BC. This epic clash between the formidable forces of Ramesses II of Egypt and Muwatalli II of the Hittite Empire marked a significant moment in ancient warfare.
In this documentary-style video, we delve into the strategic maneuvers, the innovative chariot technology, and the intense rivalry that defined this legendary encounter. Witness how thousands of chariots from both empires clashed along the Orontes River, near the town of Kadesh, in a battle that shaped the geopolitical landscape of the ancient Near East.
We'll explore the tactics employed by both sides, the role of the Sherden mercenaries, and the diplomatic aftermath that led to one of the earliest known peace treaties in history.
Whether you're a history buff, a student of military strategy, or just curious about ancient civilizations, this video offers a comprehensive look into one of history's most fascinating military engagements. Great video! I am fascinated by Bronze Age history and I didn't expect you to do a battle on it! I'm surprised you didn't use Total War Pharaoh but the Age of Bronze mod instead. Depiction of Hittite chariots totally wrong. Tbey ere manned by a crew of 3 and totally devastated the Egyptian chariots
Did the Egyptians really come outside of their palisades to fight? Why not stay behind the palisades and use them as cover? Why even bother having palisades if you're not going to use them?

Good point. Using palisades for defense would seem more logical, but strategies varied. I would think it would be very hard for soldiers to form up within the camp and some may have formed outside
