Italian Finale of the Latte Art Grading System
On July 3, 2024, the Italian final of the Lags Latte Art championship took place with great success, an event that saw the best Italian baristas compete for the national title. The winners who took the podium were:
- 1st green level: Giulio Maisto
- 1st red level: Ivan De Rosa
- 1st black level: Salvatore Riunno
- 1st gold level: Carmen Clemente
These are the four highest categories that reached the selection stages of 2024 in Rimini (Cellini Caffè), Bergamo (Brita), Naples (Saka Caffè), and Ragusa (Brasilcafè).
The event was held at the prestigious BRIXIA Arena at the Agust roasting company in Brescia and was judged by authorized Lags experts, including Maurizio Boi, Andrea Villa, Simone Cattani, Nicola Manzo, and Fabio Proietto. The competition was intense and highlighted the extraordinary skill and creativity of the participants, each of whom presented top-level latte art creations.
The winners of the Italian final will now have the opportunity to represent Italy at the World WLAGS Final, which will be held in Trieste on October 26, 2024, during the Trieste Espresso Expo fair. This international event will be a unique opportunity to test the skills of the best latte artists globally and to celebrate the art of coffee at one of the most important trade fairs in the sector.
