What no other comments ? I love Joyce Carol Oats,but I haven't read this story yet. I'm not a lover of short stories,and I struggle with the often ambiguous endings so many of them have. I was around during the 70's with the Sexual Revolution,and Women's Lib. It was, to be honest...all about obtaining your own desires,and getting what you want in life whatever the cost,and consequences. It usually backfired, and hurt either yourself, or the others around you. Very few Happy endings. I'm curious now to read this story. I'm a new subscriber,and I love your content,and enjoy the "Banter" you both share. Thank You for bringing attention to such interesting stories, and books. Oh...Nice shirts ! Happiness, Cindy 🌻
