My country road take me home
Take me to the place where I was born
My country road take me home
Back to the place where I come from
My country road take me home
Take me to the place where I was born
My country road take me home
Just how long have I been gone
Lord take me home
Lord take me home
I say bye to my folks as I pack my clothes
Mama don't cry I was born to go
You gonna see my name in the big city lights
And daddy you know your boy will be alright
I thought the big city life was the place for me
But things ain't always what they cracked up to be
Fell flat on my back such a fool of my soul
Now I'm headed back down my country road
My country road take me home
Take me to the place where I was born
My country road take me home
Back to the place where I come from
My country road take me home
Take me to the place where I was born
My country road take me home
Just how long have I been gone
Lord take me home
Lord take me home
Get on down the road now
I got a sack and a Uhaul
I'm gonna make it back to Georgia before the dew fall
A 6 pack and a half a pack of Pall Malls
Red wine, the kind that give ya lock jaw
Old tires ain't seen dirt roads in a while
But the grass getting green so I know I'm in the south
Old back wood feen and there ain't no doubt
I was born in the south go on take me to the house
My country road take me home
Take me to the place where I was born
My country road take me home
Back to the place where I come from
My country road take me home
Take me to the place where I was born
My country road take me home
Just how long have I been gone
Lord take me home
Thank God I was born in the south
Country folk gonna ride on out
Lord take me home
Thank God I was raised in the south
Country folk gonna ride on out
Back roads cruising on a 2 path lane
Stopping by the field checkin' out the sugar cane
Rollin down by the creek, switch it off and just listen
My roads ain't found on that navigation system
Stoppin' lookin' at deer tracks
Grabbin' me a beer from the back
30.06 by my side, can you feel that
A right at the chicken pen
A left at the back lodge
We made it to the river and we never touch a black top
My country road take me home
Take me to the place where I was born
My country road take me home
Back to the place where I come from
My country road take me home
Take me to the place where I was born
My country road take me home
Just how long have I been gone
Lord take me home
Thank God I was born in the south
Country folk gonna ride on out
Lord take me home
Thank God I was raised in the south
Country folk gonna ride on out, on out

"Dear The Lacs, I wanted to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to you for the incredible kindness you showed my family, especially my mom, during your recent concert in Illinois. My dad, who was a veteran and a huge fan of your music, passed away from cancer on August 6, 2023. He always had your music playing when he was alive, and your songs provided the soundtrack to many of our cherished memories. Your act of remembering him for giving you a t-shirt and giving my mom a hug meant more to us than words can ever convey. You are not only incredibly talented musicians but also genuinely compassionate and patriotic individuals. Your music has been a source of comfort and inspiration for my family during these tough times, and your actions at the concert showcased your incredible character. Thank you for being the amazing people you are, and for making a positive impact on our lives. We will forever cherish the memories you helped create for us over the years. With immense gratitude, a fan forever

Born in GA, joined the army and medically retired to San Antonio, TX to check the city life. Lost my wife there so packed a uhaul and went home to the GA mountains. Song hits home.
Can't wait to listen to this going back home to the south. Then be back home just riding the back roads, refamiliarizing myself back to my spot.

If you were raised in the south, this song is what gives you chill bumps! Nothing is more real of being a southern man that knows what reality really is all about!!! Half a pack of pall mall, red wine, the kind that gives you lock jawl! The grass getting green so I know I’m in the south!
Just came across this up late up at night thinking about my life. Ya all rock! I like this tune . Can definitely relate.
I love this song. Listened to it everyday when I was over seas. Missed the south and our way of living.

I'm from Kentucky but was raised in the Big Georgia
Born and raised in the sticks way down in South Mississippi. I lived all over the south, big cities like Houston. Have a home in downtown Houston, throw on a suit and tie, and go make deals, but spend 70% of my time in Deep South Mississippi wearing dirty clothes working on my diesel trucks and tractors, and mud ridding. If you see me in Houston, you would think I wasn't capable of changing a wiper blade. See me in Mississippi, and you would never think I was a CEO. Probably would think I was still an oilfield trash roughneck. Best days of my life.

I wasn't born in the south, i was born in the north, but i live out in the country and i love it, the nature, the hard work, and the nice country music from hank sr and jr, george strait, and some other great country artists. I wish country music was like back then in stead of todays fake country music. I wish i didn't miss those days too lol, im 15 and i was born in this generation where there are so many things wrong with this country, but i have faith that trump and God will fix it up. And i will also help this country when i get older by standing for whats right and i will always stand for the pledge because i am thankful for all the people who served and died for us and this country. God bless America
This song hits hard w me. I was born in southern Indiana, but when my parents split up, I was all of a sudden center Indiana. With frequent visits to the “boonies”. Born in Colorado too early to remember, just photos to remind me. I have always wanted to connect w my home.
I absolutely love this song. Its song addicting. Every time i listen to it, it draws me in more and more. Keep up the good work guys and keep it real. I look forward to hearing more. #TheLacs

Flawless vocals. Clean, perfectly executed rap. Good theme. No bitches, ho's, nakedness, violence. YOU GUYS ARE GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! May you be as successful as you have only dreamed about. Great job. Love this song and I hate country music!!

Song # 2 one of my great friends liked.. but was deeply emotional about it! Guess when you're home sick then it's real and shows being REAL AND A SOLID DEVOTION TO DO WHATS MUST BE DONE TO GET THERE!!
I will always miss my home down south in Louisiana! Cant wait till I can go back.
