Honorable mention for that Jakks bone cruncher era Andre the Giant they put in that three pack with Austin and Undertaker. They also released this "figure" individually as part of the Jakks Legends line back in 97 and that thing was more a statue than an actual action figure.

Classic Series 1 Andre is a classic example of how it’s better to have a certain character/athlete later when they have the budget for it versus doing them early next to Generations FOC Bruticus.

I’m surprised the Mego didn’t make the list. That one is brutal.

I feel you Mr. Kyle on that Princess Bride Andre I had a similar confusion when it came to how well WWE did Cena but how poor his Peacemaker figure face sculpt was. Lol same with Black Adam compared to Rock headsculpts

This is a tough one for me cuz even the ones that are obviously bad I have an affinity for like the Mego and CSS series 1 figs. 5. LJN (all of em) - I hated the “taking a dump” pose of big men and how it was impossible to get him to stand 4. First run Mattel E60 Giant Machine- the singlet was horrible and was too short 3. Mattel E29 - too soon for a re-release and that wig was atrocious 2. McFarlane Fezzik series 1 - the raccoon eyes and five o’clock shadow beard ruined the likeness (actually looks pretty good when you remove them with acetone) 1. Super7 yellow trunks - no explanation needed

Never seen The Princess Bride.....how? Don't let the name fool you. It's a movie literally ANYONE can enjoy. (Also, surprised to see an LJN here. That one is the one I think of as THE Andre LJN. I mean I didn't have him as a kid, but if someone had an Andre it was long hair or this one, and the long haired one was just "off" somehow.)

Jakks Classic Andre that is #1 says one of two things to me: Either A.) They knew nothing about Andre or B.) they were being lazy and just reusing the Big show body type. I forgot about that Princess Bride Andre. I've seen that movie and Andre being in it is the only thing I remember about it lol

The ego of Super7 grew immensely with that first Japan Era Andre, which was a good figure... not great, but passable. the next two.... the should just call themselves 7.. not so super. The Princess Bride figure is only let down by that headsculpt. If the head sculpt from a mattel elite 70's Andre with his afro and the fringe jacket was used, it's beautiful .

I can't understand why you haven't seen The Princess Bride. My dad talked my brother and I into going by telling us Andre was in the movie. I loved it when I saw it and we went the next day and saw it again.

I feel the same way when people tell me they haven’t listened to the entire Judas Priest or Motörhead catalogs. It blows my mind

KP I gotta tell ya…Princess Bride is worth your time. It’s my favorite movie ever-it’s got it all: adventure, humor, action, romance and revenge. Please give it a shot!

Weirdly enough I had a dream where that Jakks CS Series 1 Andre had that singlet in red for some reason

The first Andre was when Bobby Heenan and his stable jumped Andre and cut his hair. That was classic

I love the Super7 singlet Andre, as well as the first two, but even I couldn't defend the yellow trunks. The first problem was making a figure other companies were likely to (something Japan specific would have been better), but the real issues came in production. The skin is pale, the shading is heavy, the decals on the faces are off, and one of the heads doesn't fit the neck right. It really is rough, and a shame given how much I enjoy the other efforts.

The wrestlemania yellow tights basic is a good one.this one looks kinda funny though with a Molson can lmfao

👽❤️ ahhh lol the Princess bride version.. it’s a great movie.. fun for the whole family. Highly recommend. Just watch out for the R.O.U.S. ( rodents of unusual size )

Dishonorable mention has to be every Mattel basic with the singlet. He’s way too thin and none of them look that good as a result.

No problem with your list. But your #5 Andre is actually a good figure. It was based on his WrestleMania 1 attire. In the 80's that was the main Andre available. Was happy that they used the same mold for 1989 black attire.

It’s incredible that Jakks were that lazy in THE FIRST SERIES of their brand new top line of figures. Unbelievable really, what a poo figure

No. 1 Is perfectly justified, an absolute insult to all Andre fans and to collectors. Super 7 not sure what happened the 1st and 2nd Andre from their collection was fine then the 3rd and 4th kind of took a nosedive.

I’m pretty sure that LJN Andre is the most common LJN Andre. Besides, it’s literally the same figure as the black strap one. In fact, the black strap was a repaint of that one, and not the other way around.

For sure not most common if that was the case it would not be more expensive and come up less then long hair Andre. And obviously a repaint as black strap was grand toys
