Compared to shaw brothers these new style Kung Fu flicks lack actual top level martial artist making the fight scene strangely bland too many cut scenes and slow motion ON TOP OF constant CGI

@@duffno1 it's shit - no matter which way you twist it they are attempting to portray Martials arts, but they each have zero martial art skill, instead we are treated to horrific facial expression of so called masters who's skills are so far beyond mortals that they are routinely called God's It's a mess and the fight scenes are a farce, for someone raised on fighting flicks this SHYTE is actually an dishonor to the genre

@@sugarsaint kid do you realize most of the Shaw Brothers actors did NOT actually know martial arts. They were performers, dancers and drama majors before being casted in those films. Especially the heroines in their movies. Info in most of those ACTORS bios and the Shaw Brothers documentary about how some of the talent was discovered. I hear your gripe with this genre. To dislike it is ok and that’s your opinion but to compare them and knock one is asinine. Especially when you’re saying one is martial arts and the other isn’t when they both have used pretty much method actors in their respective films. Usually the choreographers are the ones who have actual fighting backgrounds with a handful of actors. Just have to do your research sometimes. Well, they are just movies.
