The case from South Korea is like a tell from hell. The fact that even the law doesn't protect the victim is disgusting. I am a huge fan of Stephanie and every time she posts a case from South Korea I will have to prepare myself because it is always infuriating.
Seb, if you do watch the movie I would definitely recommend you to be in a really good headspace. It’s a phenomenal movie, but almost Too realistic if you start to think too hard about it. You have to go into it remembering that CGI was used, so during the scenes where they do show things in a more graphic manner between the students and adults, it’s not real touching. It’s edited together. I think if you don’t know that before watching it may be super jarring and horrific (it still is, but yk what I mean hopefully)

This just keep getting worse and worse : -The predators has power. -The teachers (those who takes part in this disgusting shit and those who keep silent). -The nurse. -The shitty articles that literally side with the principle, teachers, etc... -Finally and once again, the POLICE.
The actor of the movie deserves more credit as well. He pushed for this movie to be made which is great. Goo really did something amazing to help get some type of justice This once again shows how horrible Korean laws and police are…I’m so so sorry to all of the victims of 50 years of abuse. Innocent victims that weren’t protected. In general all over the world police and laws and people of power are horrible. No not horrible but vile

The minute he started reacting to rotten mango videos I knew this one was coming sooner or later. I still can’t wrap my head around how the school was running for so long, I feel so bad for all of the children and their families that had to go through this.

@@Lockeyloves This film, although very important for raising awareness, is actually unbearable. If you think you could be affected by very graphic and very disheartening content, you better not watch it because it can affect you so much as even traumatize you. I wasn't preparedää enough and couldn't get through the whole film because it was upsetting me so much that I couldn't take it anymore and I was so depressed for months after that.

I hope that the victims will only have happiness and feel better in the future, and those evil people will have the worst time for the rest of their lives!!!!
I grew up with the knowledge that I would go deaf some day and when I was in middle school I had gotten diagnosed with bilateral hearing loss and a lot of people’s while I was in high school would treat me like I would amount to nothing or that I wasn’t trustable or not important because I couldn’t hear they thought I was dumb or that I was immature they would always pester me because some days I couldn’t hear anything and some days I could hear I would be bullied by students who would try to prove that I was “faking my hearing loss” even when I had medical documentation plus an interpreter in classes and at time they would get abusive out just because they didn’t understand. So watching this honestly made my blood boil… also seb could you add subtitles it was a little hard for me to get the whole story but uh yeah I’m glad you reacted to this story and it’s nice to see that there are people out there who actually care about our community love you and your channel so much and I can’t wait to see the next one 🤟🏽

This is the first time I’ve heard this story and I got so emotional when she mentioned the screams at court, when the verdict came out. I just couldn’t hold it together
When the principal told Soyeon to be the bigger person and learn to be an adult it really pissed me off, not only because of what happened, but also because she was in the 6th grade, so approximately 11-12, and Koreans aren't legal adults until age 20. Learn to be an adult? Why? She's a literal child.
sound of freedom is the movie ur talking about i think!! it was delayed for five years because none of the upper companies wanted it to be shown
I wouldn't watch the movie on a stream. It is one of those you need to watch on your own. It is a brilliant movie, but horrifying. Gong Yoo was given the book as a gift when he finished his military service. He fought to get the movie made, and not watered-down. Because of this movie and the outcry it caused, the case was re-investigated and there were changes made to the law. There are some things kids will not lie about, but they can be led into telling you what you want to hear. Especially if they don't understand what they are saying. That is what happened with the whole 'satanic panic' in the eighties. They had made up their minds that something happened, and then questioned the kids (planting ideas in their head) until they told them what they wanted to hear.
i love watching reactions to stephanie this case angered me so much so it’s nice to see someone else angry
I can't imagined how the victims would feel. I'm just so mad that some people could do this to innocent children.

Sk cases are rough.
1:19:15 This part fucking kills me. Because it's just something you not only get taught, it's a behavior some people adopt to the core and believe in more and more as time goes. Then it just gets more complicated along the way by our experiences and interactions. Some genuinly feel beneath others even though they're truly not. And then there's people that see this internal conflict and decide to take full advantage of it.
It was a great movie. I had unresolved anger and sadness for a good couple of months after watching it though... it definitely made me hate people...
I am studying to be a interpreter and this case pissed me off. I remember my teacher said that if we watched this movie we would be so pissed off.
I enjoy these videos so incredibly much. Glad this became a thing on the channel!

To be honest.. It’s amazing movie and it pains me to not recommend it to people because it raises awareness and gets more eyes on the case. But! But but but.. it made me extremely depressed for a month. When I see something this traumatic it takes a while for my brain to process it and it will keep replaying dialogues or images over and over. I purposely started watching positive videos where you’d see happy people, children, families even happy animals because I needed to be reminded that as much evil there is in this world, the opposite force is just as strong. I also cried a lot watching it because I simply couldn’t believe how horrible we as humans can be. Ultimately it’s your choice if you wanna watch it or not but.. just be emotionally and mentally ready.
i watched the movie and it's pretty hard to watch, I had to pause so many times.

I watched the movie when i was only 12 :’) wish someone took that computer away from me back then that thing scarred me. And i just rewatched it for the 5th time a couple days ago and it still makes my blood boil
This case is so disgusting
So glad to see you watching more Rotten Mango. I really recommend their 'Killer Breaks Down Crying After 8-year Old Victim Is Found Alive' video
I once saw the movie online I believe and I cried I literally was traumatized I can't imagine how the students felt. I can't believe this happened, I can't believe the school was full of monsters. I mean, usually it's just one bad person but the fact most knew is disgusting and terrible. I wish extreme painful deaths for all those who assaulted the kids. They're going to BURN and ROT in hell. Who does something like that? Like how? You're not even human! They're MONSTERS.
I first watched this at Stephanie's. I thought I could watch it again. I can't. Like all of threes these South Korea's stories, it has such an injustice ending.
Yea.. i watched the silence and made me so cautious of people that you think know you and love you.
This is a great video to motivate me for a work day
6:19 you don't have a sick imagination you have a vivid imagination and I know because I also have a vivid imagination fortunately it helps me to be able to empathize with people better unfortunately I get put in situations like this where I can clearly see the scene taking place and I just feel so disgusted and sad for the victim. The Piece of shit entrapped her and abused her he is the one with the sick imagination because he somehow found a way to justify what he's doing, if he knew that what he was doing was unjustifiably sick twisted and wrong, just not even necessary he could find a million and one ways to talk himself out of it but he didn't he gave himself a million reasons to do what he did and he is just truly sick and twisted.
I remember watching the film based on this and omg i looked up what it was about but nothing could have prepared me for this i remember not long after watching the film i also got recommended hope on yt so decided to watch that also and thats just as bad i find it horrific that they are based on true stories.........
OMG I wish I was a teacher there I'd save the children and be soooo nice to them giving them gifts food etc and showing them the best lesson to learn and literally fight the disgusting vile garbage that hurt them.
The movie is soooooo heart breaking.
19:00 Yeah. Kids lie about the dumbest shit like if they stole their siblings candy or their desk mate's pencil. They tell the truth about the real shit. 23:15 Same, Seb. I have a lot of self control but shitty people talking to me crazy will get me acting a whole fool.
I remember I watched the end of the movie in class and I started crying in front of everyone😭😭
I watched this episode but couldn’t make it through without being angry. I finished it a few days ago
IMO even hell isn't enough for these monsters.
I went into watching Silenced completely blind thinking it was your average mystery kdrama judging from the movie banner alone. It was one of the most disgusting things, if not the most at the time, I'd ever watched and I was down for a couple days because of how disturbed I was by it and the fact that it was based off a true story just made it worse.
2:44 oh...i got it at as many layers as possible"
