The Knockout Boxer Who’s Only 9 | KICK-ASS KIDS
SUBSCRIBE to Barcroft TV: bit.ly/Oc61Hj
NINE-year-old boxing star Kira Makogonenko is so good that she’s having trouble finding boys willing to get in the ring with her. Nicknamed the “Pink Panther” due to the colour of her boxing outfit, the undefeated nine-year-old's lightning-fast punches have won her a total of nine fights - half of them against boys in an older age category. Her deadly shots and quick footwork were honed with the help of her father and coach Artem Makogonenko.Little Kira, from Kharkov, Ukraine, has only been in training for one year, but wowed audiences online with videos of her shadow sparring with her dad while blindfolded. To keep up with Kira’s boxing skills visit: / @kiramakogonenko

She was born to fight 🥊🥊🥊🥊🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Damn she’s awesome
She's truly an impressive fighter for as young as she is. Amazing hand speed and wonderful skills. My main concern is for her future well being. I mean how much is really known and understood about the effects of repeated blows to the body, especially the head, of young children like this. Certainly it is up to her parents and the boxing officials to decide but I do hope they are getting input from qualified doctors. Again I'm very impressed with her skills but at the same time concerned about her long term health. Best wishes to her in the future both in and out of the ring.

As far as my educated guess goes.. it's fine at that age as I doubt even the average 10 year-old's punching power is proportionally strong enough to seriously hurt another 10 year old, especially with proper protection like in the match in the video. I wouldn't even consider it dangerous at all compared to playing full-contact American football in middle school imo Although, once you become an older teenager/adult then does striking power become proportionally great enough to actually deal serious damage to another person of the same size, especially if we're talking about a person who'd be placed in a heavyweight category.
What’s very great about her is that she is so determined
Boxing like this is no more dangerous than any other contact sport. I've been to plenty of martial arts tournaments with all ages, safety is paramount especially for the kids. Her form is excellent, she looks like she'll be just fine.
@matthewbartsh9167
Жыл бұрын
Boxing is dangerous but it is much less dangerous when the punches are light, as is the case with lighter men, women and kids. Probably not too dangerous for women to box. Even when it is very dangerous, like with male heavyweights, in the case of adults at least, it is a matter of personal liberty, and it should be allowed, just like climbing without ropes, and so on.

She Is A Hard Working Talented Young Lady With A Dream, To The Haters, She Is Confident, Believes in Herself, She Is Not Arrogant, Don't Be Jealous Because you or your kids are only good at playing video games or watching T.V. !
I put my kids in boxing a couple years ago. It's my daughter's main sport now. I read somewhere that you should put your kids in when they are young...around seven, when they dont have the power to really hurt each other. They get their feet, their hands, their defense. And then you can move them on to judo or BJJ or something less intense on their body. But get those hands early.
