The KJV Sovereign Wide Margin Bible
I have been looking for a wide margin bible for months now, and I've always loved the layout of the Sovereign Collection by Thomas Nelson.
The personal size is great and I had big hopes for the "sovereign experience" in their wide margin version.....
Let's see how it turned out!

Overall: One of the more painful experiences I've ever had buying a bible because you expect this thing to be fantastic. Instead you get awful binding, pages are ripped from the spine, cockling everywhere....The binding is as bad as it gets.
But the layout, the size, the leather, the paper and of course the Comfort Print font gives me hope that one day Thomas Nelson will create and manufacture a great Sovereign Wide Margin....
A Premier Collection version maybe? One can hope...

I got a NKJV Sovereign Wide Margin and the quality was horrible. The red letters were misaligned with the Black like by 2mm. I gave it away.

Yeah it's such a fantastic layout but the construction and manufacturing is awful. I am not sure how Thomas Nelson approved these print runs.
It looks as though they sent you a Bible from their "seconds" department. Such a shame, and for that amount of money too. I don't blame you for wanting to return it. This is the first video I have seen for this particular Bible and it's definitely not a good reflection on Thomas Nelson. Good luck.

It's such a shame because it's such a fantastic layout. And their Premier Collection has some of the best bibles I've ever held....But this was just an awful experience :(
Maybe send it out for a rebind.

For sure, that's an option. I think it's the text block though. Not only the binding but the entire thing looks like it's sewed and glued wrong. Such a shame.
$119. ($130 in Canada) seems high for a non-premium Bible to me. And then to get one in that condition after paying that much is ridiculous. I got two Bibles last year from Thomas Nelson (a KJV Center Column Reference Bible for my birthday and a NKJV MacArthur Study Bible for Christmas, both in Brown Leathersoft) and I haven't had any problems with any of them and they both cost under $100. I hope they will give you a refund or send you a new Bible.

For sure. Yeah Canadian prices are crazy, and even if you pay American on the websites, the conversion plus the shipping can really hurt. I got my refund via Amazon.

@@kingdombible Oh, that's good. I've never ordered a Premium Bible. I'm perfectly happy with my two Leathersoft Bibles.

Absolutely. I have a hand sized 180, but should have grabbed a wide margin. They look absolutely incredible.

I got two Bibles last year from Thomas Nelson and they've been great. I got a KJV Center Column Reference Bible and a NKJV MacArthur Study Bible both in Brown Leathersoft and I haven't had any problem with them. But then nobody's perfect.

@@j.woodbury412 that's what is so frustrating for me. my first ever bible was a thomas nelson. i loved it, and literally destroyed it cause i used it so much. i love their products, this is why it hurts to see the Sovereign :(
