Reminds me of when I got my cat. I come home, think it's weird that I'm seeing what looks like a litter box, then see a tiny black ball of fur crying under the table. Cue 17 years of me loving that cat. I miss her.

@@Mythological4 Well, I know exactly how bad you feel. When I was little, my parents got us kids a baby chicken for Easter. We named him Henry. He seemed to be coming along nicely until klutzy me stepped on his leg. I still can't believe that could kill him, but it sure did. I felt terrible, and the other kids hated me (for a while) so I've never forgotten it.

I saw two dogs on the street. They were super friendly and on leashes, so we all knew they belonged to someone. There was a big, brown one and a small, white one. The white one ran up to me and licked me. Little did I know, that was the last bit of affection that dog would ever show again in its entire life. It was ran over by a bus even though I repeatedly screamed at the bus to stop. I remember tears. Loads and loads of tears. What was more sad was the owner coming to get them back in her truck. The most traumatic experience of my life.

I'm really sorry to hear that. People say "Oh, you had 17 years" or "She went to better place", I don't care about a better place, I want my big guy back and I'm sure you feel the same. He was a Tonkenese that I rescued really young, like 4 weeks. He was the runt, so sick and tiny, it's hard to remember back then. He ended up being 16 lbs of pure muscle. He was our "Welcome Wagon", whenever a new rescue was brought in he immediately greeted it so kindly and walked around, made sure no one else was mean to it. And of course he was the Alpha so who would argue. Sending kitty love your way, from Sirius Black, our once tiny black ball of fur.

I have a 15 yo cat with kidney disease. He's on a special diet and so far so good. I am 76 so getting a kitten is out of the question. I could adopt an older cat though when my current cat goes back to God. I'll have to see how things are going in the future. I love the companyl. I have had cats for decades. I worked full-time so cats worked out well for me because unlike a dog they can use a litter box and they sleep alot. Worked out great. I rescued many cats/kittens for decades. They're great company and don't bark so the neighbors don't complain. Don't get me wrong, I love dogs but they require more attention than I could provide at that time and now I am too old and arthritic for a dog. When my current cat goes over the rainbow bridge, I don't really know what I'll do. It's a wait and see situation.

Bless you miss Patricia when the day does finally come. If you placed a post like your previous on pretty much any social media (I would also be cautious not because of bad things even the good part of the internet can be overwhelming.) I am positive though if you reached out to those with experience out here the community at large would be ecstatic to make sure you could rest easy adopting again without an risk of your feline friend being uncared for in reguards to any situation where you may not be there or be able to host him any longer. I have seen lists form of God parent esque situations where people would sign up and someone trusted would approve or denny the applicants. I saw your post cried had to make sure i said something,.

the big cats like meh babies got that snake under control I don't have to deal with it thank god cause I hate snakes

It's said that some cats evolved to be extremely appealing to humans. The cuteness, colors of fur, the way they shift from wanting to be alone then wanting to be near you, even the frequency of their purr is supposed to stimulate a part of our brain that basically mind controls us. Whenever my cats walk up to me when I'm sitting and fall asleep on me I know I get the really strong urge not to move so I don't disturb them, and feel super guilty when I do.

Domestic cats kept the meow into adulthood as a way of communicating with humans. Kittens meow to get the attention of their mom, to communicate with her. Wild cats don’t meow as adults and even feral domestic adult cats really don’t. A house cat will meow to communicate with its human, to let us know they want attention (or food). Even wild cats have been known to purr, but the meow is a unique sound to domestic cats. Wild cats have their own ways of vocalizing with each other, but none of them are the “meow” sound. I swear there are times when my cat meows it sounds like she’s saying “momma”. It’s also interesting that most cats tend to develop at really close bond with just one human… like that is their human and they merely tolerate anyone else. Growing up we had a tortie and she was the family pet. However, she pretty much picked me as her human. She slept only with me, would wait for me to get home from school, and followed me around the house. She was affectionate with my parents and my brother, but I was her human. Very few feelings greater than knowing that a cat has chosen you to be their human.

my cat falls asleep on me all the time and I feel so horrible and guilty when I have to get up and disturb him

I like how he lets the cats figure out the heirarchy but keeps the kitten safe

Yuni is teaching the kitten to be respectful. I love how cats train kittens, which is why it's not good to take a kitten away from its mother too early.

Yuni seems to want to be friends, just a little more time. I would love to see them warm up to each other soon. 🐱

That's one cute kitten. One can tell she already loves you, and feels safe around you. Cats are amazing creatures, they are very territorial, but with time they will all get along 🙂

Such a beautiful little lady! Hopefully she grows up big and healthy and she's with you a long time. She seems like a very sweet little girl.

I thought that, but my two cats lived together 9 years and never got on, tolerate one another is the best they could do. Sadly I lost my first cat to heart failure in Feb this year. Now it seems my other cat sadly misses her. Treasure every moment.

Yuni can't figure out if that's a TINY cat or a BIG mouse! 😸❤ (meanwhile, the little one is still just trying to figure out how to get all those troublesome footses work together!😹)

It's so cute when the baby kitten was sniffing things to get used to living there,I hope the cats will bond with each other ♥️✨❤️

This reminds me of the kitten I saw in the streets. it was sitting in the corner of a building. my brother used to go and give it food when it used to be there. but sadly in my area it is dangerously common for kittens and cats to die by getting it by a car. :( I had a kitten named brownie and he got it by a car I miss him so much.

I feed my twice a day, 1/3 of can each time. I take the time to chop each serving into kitty size bites. She has to go back to the bowl to eat more. She can't drag off a piece, stash it somewhere, and forget about it until starts to smell and I find it. 😺😺🙀

People who love animals are my kind of people, usually good hearted and nice human beings.

THIS KITTEN HAS NOT GROWN IN SIX MONTHS. I demand to know how that kitten is doing NOW.
