This is one of the most beautiful songs ever by a Great Gospel GROUPS IT wont be long before we see JESUS face to face what a great day that will be for all believers

How can you not feel something after listening to this song. I get a blessing every time I hear this song. I love their blend. And I agree, this is what is needed on the churches today!

This is the Kingsmen's signature song and no other group could do it like these 4 men..

Southern Gospel music the one and only true anointing music, PERIOD!!!!!

They sure don't sing like this anymore. Such great biblical theology in the music.

This song was sung at my dad's funeral in 1979. I use to sing it while washing dishes and he loved it so much.

One of the best tenors in gospel music ! 🎶 📖 ✝️ And Big Jim Hamill was cousins with my Stepdad. I never got meet Jim, but I always loved The Kingsmen ! ❤

One of the best singings I ever went to was this group when I was in the eighth grade. My mother took me to see The Kingsmen in Nashville at The War Memorial Auditorium. I believe it was in 1986.

The most important thing in this life is Serving Jesus and knowing one day we will see him Face to Face that day will be the greatest event that ever happened seeing the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords Face to Face.

i can listen to this song a hundred times and still get a Blessing..AMEN?

This was, I think, my mother's favorite song. Today, I can just hear her around her Lord and Savior thanking him.

If you’ve been a vocalist in the Kingsmen - ever You’re one of the greats - ever

So exciting! I love the build up, Anthony pounding the piano the guitar circling up and I think Greg on those drums, the look of awe on that one ladies face and then Jim with that signature mike toss that made ever sound man cringe. But above all that, th glorious knowledge that we will see Jesus face to face! The one who gave His life so we could be with Him in Glory! Who walks by our side, loving, guiding and protecting us every hour of every day, even when we dont acknowledge or obey Him. A friend that sticks closer than a brother.

Always loved this song. Many years ago on my way to Coshocton I picked up a hitchiker going to Waverly to see his dieing Mother, and this song came on my CD and he started singing out when the chorus came on. One of my favorite memories of a song I have always loved by one of my favorite Southern Gospel Groups

I looked these guys up on Wikipedia, most of them are dead. I saw them in concert in 1998. Praise God for their singing! Such God given talent with the anointing too.

I know this post is from three years ago. However, I think of Billy Graham and how he said similar words to, "They'll come soon and tell you that I'm dead. Don't believe them for a minute! I'm more alive than I ever have been. I just have a heavenly address now." I know the same is true of these Kingsmen. Grateful that we have a few who still REMEMBER how church was once.

Kingsmen are great back then but that was many years ago about 1989. The great thing is the song hasn't changed, PRAISE GOD. It is to be played at my funeral but since this is 2019 The Booth Bros. do a wonderful job. Either group it is the song and Holy Spirit that ministers

Time stands still for all these “greats” who’ve brought the gospel to the world

Garry Sheppard does this song beautifully. Good tenor singer.

He’s one of the best to do this song justice! Puts so much emotion into it!

I love the way the guys stand while Gary sings his solo. Very respectful and touching. Hamill lets him sing the last chord alone which makes it stand out. Great ending. I sang in s barbershop chorus and the close blend is so powerful.

I so enjoy the Kingsmen music. I listen to them for hours. I belong to a gospel group and our group sing a lot of their songs. I love this song I can wait to see my Jesus face to face and tell him just how much I love him

I was going to Bible college in 1982, I was the song leader at the Baptist church, in Maynard Mass, I sang lead vocals in a Trio, we sang a lot of the Kingsmen songs, especially the song "Excuses", the church loved my bass singer and the Tenor, Thanks Shawna for your post here, I hope you are doing well, and God is blessing your life!

No one beats Garry. No one. I was 6 years old when this was recorded. I was a huge Kingsmen fan and loved Garry and Arthur. I had the privilege to meet Garry Sheppard, Jim Hamill, Ray Reese and Anthony Burger a few years later. They were truly a joy!

I like the way the other guys watch Gary. it is so respectful.

I wish I could "like" this song more than once, this song is great and the Kingsmen just did an outstanding job performing it

@@LarzGustafsson Lol!!! No it's not. The live band for a gospel group was more or less invented by the Kingsmen Quartet. The comment was regarding the fact this band, with the greatest piano player of all time in any genre, Gary Dillard on the harmonica and any stringed instrument needed, Arthur Rice on Bass and Greg Fox on the drums is the greatest southern Gospel band of all time. The "Louie, Louie" group is another genre.

Played at my grandpa's funeral. Never for get it. His favorite song at church was, I Want Stroll Over Heaven With You. He lived to be 97 years old. He was a wonderful person

@@hinsfan1 Forgive me, I thought you were someone else. Years ago there were some gospel singers, the Underwoods, one was Steve. I think they were a quartet. Anyhow, that's who I thought you were. Are you a gospel singer also? If so, please never stop singing. The churches today don't have altars anymore, let alone a gospel song. Hurts my heart. There's a reason why they don't want those gospel songs around anymore. God bless you.

Because our Churches have watered things down way too much, sadly. And I hate the way they have even changed the Bible, and watered it down too. SO sad! I won't read anything but the Kings James Version Bible. And still LOVE my good ole' Southern Gospel Music and always will! It can't be replaced.

Sometimes it is too great a temptation to measure one singer above another and lose perspective of just Whom the song and message are about! I guarantee that any singer worth his salt for the kingdom of God does not really care about who is better than who, but would rather that we give all glory to God regardless of who is singing at whatever time. Nothing is gained by comparison but pride.

A dear friend of mine sang this at church this last Sunday. It was the FIRST time I heard it. YES, it brought tears. Such a BEAUTIFUL song. As good as this is, in my opinion, Harold sang it even better! :) Praise GOD I might have heard it before but I didn't remember it. What a BEAUTIFUL, heartfelt song!

We should all be on our knees clasping the ankles of the Savior, thanking him for the rest of Eternity for saving our sinful souls!!
