He plays a self made fender jazz bass. It's an absolute brick, may as well be made with concrete, only grand pianos weigh more. He uses an ampeg head with line out that we use to record. He was probably drop tuned to c std. He never changes his strings and I'd guess played that with fingers. He slides into notes and let's them die slowly
