i got to know jeff a bit over the years, and he was a very humble gentleman. yeah he had his onstage "persona" for lack of a better word, but deep down he never forgot where he came from or what he used to be. i ask him one time about lessons and he was willing but we jsut couldn't make the schedule work for either of us unfortunately. one of my biggest regrets in life. i told him at the time if i could ever play the hallelujah chorus like him i figured i was really a piano player (i'd played growing up but never got that good). he promised if i worked hard i'd be able to he'd teach it. fouond out later from one of the guys in triumphant, that he had actually taught a kid how to do it at a church they visited every year (or came to pigeon forge on vacation year after year) and broke it down for him part by part one hand then the other. basically in small chunks at a time so it didn't feel over whelming. never gave the kid the whole thing till the last part. said the of all of it that part the kid found the easiest and had that nailed before they either left town or the kid went back home from vacation. i don't know alot of guys in any music industry including gospel that would have done that, but from what i understand that's the type of guy jeff was. i miss him and will always regret never even getting just a few lessons from him............ :(

I remember Jeff Stice from The Nelons, Perfect Heart, Kingdom Heirs, and Triumphant Quartet. He was truly an extremely talented Pianist, and he definitely had a funny side to him, that's for sure! If you want to see an example of that, watch a video here on KZread, from his time in Perfect Heart, called "Just a little talk with Jesus", and hopefully you'll see what I mean.

Wonderful Talent!!! God's Best comes through real quality talent.... sooo much praise music singers have NO talent, a wrenching to listen to voice... what a Biblical difference of truth and talent vs popularity pride and just for the profit of it. Gospel music gives God All The Glory!!!

Arthur Rice, in 1996, had been with the Kingdom Heirs for around a year, or so. Eric Bennett and David Sutton, as of 1996, had been with the Kingdom Heirs for a couple of years. In 2000, the line-up was as follows: -------------------------------------------------- Singers: Eric Bennett-Bass Singer. Steve French-Baritone Singer. Arthur Rice-Lead Singer. David Sutton-Tenor Singer. ------------------------------------- Musicians: Kreis French-Bass Guitarist. Dennis Murphy-Drummer. Jeff Stice-Pianist. ------------------------------------------- Just earlier this year, Arthur Rice retired from the Kingdom Heirs. He'd been with the Kingdom Heirs for around 27 years. It definitely caught me off guard, but it was going to happen at some point in time, so it is what it is.

@@GeneralLeeStudios You know, Steve French KNEW BETTER, than to run off with that young lady in the first place. Then, going around, allegedly scamming people like it was rumored that he did... that calls into question, as to whether Steve was a Christian in the first place. Is it any wonder, that The Holy Bible warns us about the dangers of taking our eyes off of Jesus Christ? The Holy Bible tells us:"Beware, lest Satan get an advantage of us, for we are not ignorant, concerning his devices"! Steve French apparently refused to listen to what The Holy Bible teaches...and unfortunately, he'll never Rest In Peace. The worst tragedy that I can even think of, is to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and yet refuse it, to the point where that person becomes Gospel-Hardened, and God can't do anything with them. He calls...but if we refuse him, time and time again, the day will come, when God stops dealing with that person.

  • @ronaldshank7589

How can he "Rest In Peace"?!? Answer me that! He died in sin...after KNOWING THE TRUTH OF GOD'S WORD!!! There's no WAY that he can ever "Rest In Peace", ever again! My heart breaks, upon knowing that Steve French will never... NEVER...Rest In Peace, ever again! He knew the TRUTH, but rejected it, for what he wanted, which was to leave his own Wife, for a younger lady. Then, as if that wasn't bad enough, then he allegedly scammed people! I mean no disrespect towards you, Sir, but those most definitely are NOT the actions of a Christian. The worst tragedy in a person's life, is to know God...and then turn their back, & their heart, on Jesus Christ! It would've been better for Steve French to have never known the way of Jesus Christ, than for him to know, and yet turn his back on Jesus Christ, the ONLY HOPE that could've seen him through.

@@sgquartetclassics9962 There sure are a lot of differences in the vocal lineup for the Kingdom Heirs today (2019). Jeff Chapman sings at Bass, & joined in 2002. Steve French died in 2016. Before that, he left the group, and Andy Stringfield, who plays piano for the Kingdom Heirs, was also blessed with another talent:the ability to sing Baritone, which he did, until they acquired Brian Alvey, who was their Baritone from 2014 or 2015 until 2016. He left the group, and was replaced by Loren Harris, later in the year 2016. Loren presently continues to be their Baritone. Arthur Rice, who played Bass, and occasionally sang Lead for the Kingsmen Quartet from 1984-1988 or 1989. He came to the Kingdom Heirs as their Lead singer in 1995, and continues with the Kingdom Heirs as of present. Jerry Martin, who sang Tenor with the Kingsmen Quartet from 1998 or 1999, began singing Tenor with the Kingdom Heirs in 2011, and is still with the Kingdom Heirs as of present. Dennis Murphy has been with the Kingdom Heirs since 1990. Kreis French has been the Bass Guitarist since the early 1980s, and continues with the Kingdom Heirs presently. Andy Stringfield has been with the Kingdom Heirs since 2007. These guys are something else! You can't help but enjoy them. Long live the Kingdom Heirs!!!
