Why are ppl mad at Jingke for sleeping with her? It's her choice, she chose to give herself to him because she knew she wouldn't be with him again and she hated the King for not only forcing her to be his concubine but also the person who was responsible for her grandfather's death. She only promised the King to be his concubine, she didn't promise to save herself for the King.

I'm happy for Li Ji, that she was able to dedicating her first time as a woman with Jing Ke!!! She did it for herself, nobody else... I really love Li & Jing Ke's love. Separating these two beautiful lover is too cruel, truly break my heart so much!!! 💔😭 This two will fall into deep Depression coz of the separation. If you watch Unly woman Lizhuen..of I forgot the title... This series will be great... Because dilraba that girl and the boy/the king in the other series (ugly woman) did not end well but they got the chemistry. The King was just a 2nd male lead there..but he is the cutest in that drama ...unfortunately did not end well with the woman (dilraba) ...but I'm really happyfor this series that the two got to be paired .. Why do i love the king for li er more than jing ? Is it cos the king is my favorite actor?

Senior is so handsome 😍

I really hope this drama stays good til the very end. I’ve watched several with half way through the series or ending that it just takes a turn for the worse- like they get tired and just want to get over the story.

If Bin Bin were playing Jing Ke, then fan girls who are upset with Li for consummating her love with Jing would have lauded it and chastised the King for being so evil and manipulative to come in between two lovers.

Well, this plot is good unlike other dramas where king only has 1 wife through his life and make him queen despite of her eligibility just because he loves her. Here its totally different. He is already married but loves only her and thinks she is suitable to be queen because she has that skills and this is actually a fact, kings in history mostly are like this and they showed it

Senior and junior really love each other feel so much pity for them and they are so pretty ❤❤

This is my first time watching this series. I don't understand why everyone is so in love with the king. I watched a document based on the first emperor of china and he became a complete lunatic right at the end of his reign. Going back to the drama, he is messed up. Everyone saying "she shouldn't have hadn't intercourse with her senior." From what I have seen so far, her senior had love for her while the king is showing obsession. Betrayal after betrayal he looks comforts to which he goes back to the flashback of when she saved him from their childhood. Pure. Honestly, good on her for losing her v-card to her senior. I honestly wouldn't care if the king killed me because at least I would have known what love rather than be a prisoner to him. Also, it's disgusting how he was ready to defile her thinking he was going to be her first.

Well, in this drama, he's way more appealing than the other dude, the king has aura that's what people loved about him in this drama. It's probably because Vin Zhang played the role of the king, he's such an amazing actor that it's hard not to love him. As for her senior, dude is painfully boring, I watched Novoland: castle in the sky before The King's woman and I shipped both the Mls in both dramas, both men are appealing, their acting skill outstanding. Maybe it's that Jing Ke dude but there's nothing sweet or interesting about him, he's just annoying and bland, IMO.

@@sunflowersummer6249 Don't get me wrong, Vin Zhang is just *chef's kiss* I fell for him in his other dramas. I'm just talking about the character's personality wise not on looks because the king definitely beats the other guy.

@@nellyterrones6992 I get you, the king has terrible attributes, it's Zhang Bin that people love and since he's playing the king they automatically love the king, if the roles were reversed we all would despise the king, I'm just replying to your question on why people even like the king. It's all just sentimentality cause if we actually took a good look at his character, it's beyond disturbing but since this popular good looking actor is playing the role of the king everyone is able to over look it. You're absolutely correct about though.

Jing Ke and Lier sword dance is most beautiful scenes in this drama

I reckon the King is the most important part in this drama, Zhang is brilliant actor, he's perfect for this role. I don't know why the sword guy wants to learn all those moves, but he died in end, funny he went there to kill the king, but ended up dead.

He could've successfully killed the king but the king poisoned him before hand. If the king had not poison him he would've died because he's no match for Jing ke

I suddenly remember Scarlet Hearts Ryo where the 4th prince (Kang Haneul) got involved with IU and later with the 7th prince (Joong Ki) to whom he has a kid. I am anxious of what will gonna happen in this drama that seems longer than Scarlet Hearts Ryo.

I feel Bad for the king. Just imagine you childhood crush got pregnant for another man after waiting and watching. It's a terrible feelin

Something is terribly wrong with you to be sorry for the king, who blackmailed her to come to him. I am sorry for her and her senior, who had the perfect love and lost it. It is heartbreaking.

The sword dance was awesome but my jaw dropped when i heard about the pregnancy news 😂😂

In all Chinese dramas I've watched, the emperor is afraid of its constituent or being led by a greedy constituent, but this one, I like because the emperor has the one with control. Just like how I see an emperor should be. Exciting how the love story will unfold or if there's a love story to unfold between him and the lead female...hahaha

Three months have passed so fast

But the chemistry between her and her senior are just so bland. I feel like they’re trying too hard to force a relationship with each other unlike her and the king. Even though they fought, argued and to the point where she couldn’t even stand him and just wanted to kill him but also because of that particular side of her he found her so alluring, just made their chemistry a whole lot better.

Their chemistry is perfect! Jing Ke and Li Er moved from being brother sister to lovers. But Li Er at that time knew she had to leave him other wise both of them will be hunt by the crazy king if she does not submit to the king. Their love scene and the sword dancing scene are some of the best scenes in this drama.
