Some say love, it is a river That drowns the tender reed Some say love, it is a razor That leaves your soul to bleed Some say love, it is a hunger An endless aching need I say love, it is a flower And you, its only seed It's the heart afraid of breaking That never learns to dance It's the dream afraid of waking That never takes the chance It's the one who won't be taking Who cannot seem to give And the soul afraid of dying That never learns to live Just remember in the winter Far beneath the bitter snows Lies the seed that with the sun's love In the spring becomes the rose

This is Amazing Thank You, but I remember Singing this during my Senior year of HS aka Grad of ‘21. Which this Song has touched my Heart a lot, especially during 2nd Semester it hit really Hard on me. But I took this Song well this very Recording and made it my own. I sung every night while my own Grandfather was Sick, we found out that my Cousins and my Grandparents had Covid on Christmas Eve. But then later Died in Piece on unfortunately my Grandmothers 71st Birthday. I love my PawPaw so much I was so Sad I wouldn’t talk the day he died but I was so Happy that he didn’t have to Suffer God put his time in when he wanted it to. But I took these Lyrics as Love being so Strong but Precious not to Break it with that Certain Somebody in your Life while it is so Beautiful to not Risk the Chances you got be Blessed that you even have the Opportunity to have it. That’s my Input about it, but anyways Love this Piece it has definitely helped Grieving. Thanks

This is a particularly beautiful combination of voices (2 countertenors, 1 tenor, 2 Baritones and one Bass) and over all this time they’ve changed personnel frequently but never changed this combination of voices. It’s a really unique sound. This version of the song is better than the recorded version, one iteration of personnel ago, so they do keep changing things up. It’s the dynamics. I’d advise anyone to check these guys out. They were my gateway to opera...

This is an example of perfection in homogeneity - watching the video it was impossible to tell who was singing which voice - simply stunning, thank you all.

Sorry to burst your bubble, but - it's pre-recorded audio layered over a separate video. Same voices, probably same space, and fantastic... But the audio was recorded with each singer mic'ed up.

ISTM that the emotion is there. It’s in the text. There is almost a chant effect, the emphasis on the text allows the listener to hear the emotions proper to themself.

I've enjoyed growing gardens, preserving foods and procuring various ways of cooking and preparing meals for over 5 decades now. It's a blessing to be good stewards of your lands, your talents & knowledge. One day soon we all be stretched to our limits. May God bless us to prepare for the days ahead. 🙏
It is my calming song, the song that I listen to when I want calm and peace. It is the song that calms my soul.
Very few times in my life a song has touched me like this one did
I listen to this each night before I sleep .They are a wonderful blend of voices.Thank you .

I agree, the best way to drift into sleep. I also listen to their rendition of Billy Joels' "Lullaby", and and also "And so it goes". Calming, and beautiful.

Me too! Sadly, singing is one of the most dangerous things one can do, to pass around this wretched virus. Such a poignant song. I hope we will soon be able to gather again--safely.

stand at your window and sing for the people in the street? I tend to sing days on end, and my family doesn't mind. even if you can't sing in group, no reason not to do it..
The original musical instrument, the human voice. Beautifully done.

This song is so beautiful thank you guys God bless
Thanks
So beautiful and soothing for the heart
Breathtaking.
Listened to lyrics in a whole new way . So beautiful.

A beautiful song, beautifully sung
What can one say? It knocked me out of my chair!
Exquisite. Thank you
Words have not yet been created to describe how utterly stunning this is. So I won't try
Greetings from South Africa. So serene and so blended are the voices. Sound is incredible. Intonation is perfect. Every note is expressed in either a smile or raised eyebrow. This is perfection
