The Kibaki Succession: The Hidden Forces
The spat between statehouse and Lugari Member of Parliament Cyrus Jirongo has brought into sharp focus the political undercurrents and the powers behind the scene in the Kibaki Succession. Could there be hidden forces behind some of the leading contenders to succeed President Kibaki? Does President Mwai Kibaki have a preferred candidate? And are there powerful forces backing Raila Odinga\'s presidential bid? Alex Chamwada explores these issues in this week\'s edition of our Kibaki succession series.

Mutahi maybe right. After all Kibaki no longer seeks to please the West and you can see these everywhere you look in Kenya from the infrastructure the Chinese are building allover from Road Highways to Stadium renovations. Either way the West has to be praised for ending the near civil war in 2007-2008. However they see Raila as the man to control the same way they control Museveni in Uganda. Don't underestimate the West, they get what they want in the end.
Raila lost it when he lost Ruto

poor jirongo, after 'eating' YK92 funds as a moi project bado hujatosheka? Mutahi i thought u were smart enough to understand that Kibaki is an intelligent man who would not endorse another Kikuyu? shame on you! Tinga must be very hurt after all the begging he did to have Kibaki endorse him sometime in Kisumu. It's the price you pay for all the headache he caused the old man
