The Khagan Rides - Epic Turkic Music
Музыка
An original composition by Farya Faraji. I finally bought myself a dombra and wanted to write something along the lines of current Kazakhstani, Altaic, Bashkir, Nogai and other similar Turkic folk traditions of music. Please note that this isn't reconstructed Old Turkic music. The lyrics being sung are just me repeating the names of Old Turkic deities/spirits like in a prayer.

My direct male ancestors (while not Turkic themselves) rode with the Huns, being East Germanic I imagine they were similarly in awe at the exotic (to their ears), invigorating music of the turkic peoples as they travelled west to the Frankish lands. The word "Turan" mentioned in the Zoroastian holy book Avesta for the first time and it referred to Iranic Nomad tribes lands ( such as Scythian people which didn't accept Zoroastian believes) on central Asia but due to Altaic emigration ( such as Turk and Huns) to westward and occupying whole central Asia and mixing with Scythian people , Nationalism Turk tried took the idea of "Turan land" for themselves
