if youre on the border of a class by a point or 2, you can change the handling slider and adjust the overal performance number (downforce)

Yea also a great way to be able to switch between race classes without having to do major upgrades, tho this could have a positive or negative effect depending on the rival players upgrades if they are better or not in terms of power performance. One other thing to note is turbos are good for power increase, tho in drifitng you aren't always gonna have high RPM to spool up the turbo and gain power it also isn't consistent, this is the exact opposite to a supercharger, not saying they are superior or that you shouldn't use turbos, it's more like depending on what you want, if you want more power up top and less power down low which makes your drifts a lot more different depending on your speed giving a wider range of possibility. Superchar is a more smooth and linear way of performance, the car will do the exact same thing every time you start accelerating, so you won't get anymore than that but it's predictable and helps you in areas where you feel slow down low.

@@ShreN_ I think you got that backwards, supercharger is good for instant torque down low, and lower tier cars need that, higher tier cars have enough power to hold on their own and a turbo can give them that extra punch if you want or need it.

Fun fact; the more gears a car has, the shorter the gears are. Which is why I personally recommend using a gearbox with a high gear count over other gearboxes, as the shorter gears can prevent the dreaded overly long gear (like 3rd) that struggles to hit a good rpm during low speed drifting. Cause it really does suck when you reach a corner where 2nd gear is too short while 3rd gear is way too long 💀

i know that g! but in the case of nfs You can sacrifice and go with longer gears and still be okay! Add more power or throw a Supercharger in to get that low end tourque back so you can climb rpm quicker

The suspension doesn't effect the handling anymore, bec of the drift pro tires having their own handling model, which means it's better to throw on off road suspension and leave clutch, brakes and nitrous stock to pack more power in the car

Its insane that I can almost do a reverse entry in a NFS game they really did an geart job with this update

Been watching alot of your content recently man I'm loving it! So glad you're here to make a video on these new drift tires cause I needed me some tips and tricks fr fr lol.

So I realized that letting the drift hang out to the grass makes the rear wheels get looser (naturally) but I threw on some off-road suspension and it helped mitigate that extra angle/ potential spin out AND it lowers the cars class rank so you can squeeze out more power mods

Drift Pro Tires> Handling tune(get ur aero set for more or less downforce, Slider left => speed, Slide right => handling) > Parts

Great Vid! The Burst Nos is actually pretty helpful, when you overdo it and are close to a crash. You can just burst forward quick, you lose the drift of course but you won't lose your multiplier through the crash.

8:55 You are right, there isn't exactly a "best drift car" or "meta build" as far as we know of currently. Previously with the old physics the C6 Corvette was the meta build/best drift car since it was the only one that could somewhat hold a decent drift. Nothing else could compete or beat it so it was a sweaty car for most events. The new physics introduced is based on a part upgrade, which means that it's not car based but upgrade based, so any car you use can be just as good since they all use the same part, the drift pro tires. So same physics for every car means that driver skill is what matters most now with drifting, not the car. Some cars have some benefits due to the cars characteristics, but that only changes a small part of your drifting style and your skill. Awd vs Rwd, cars with better compact sizes, cars with more hp for longer slides and better power through, cars with a predictable consistent performance that is linear and so on. Rest is up to you.

i did notice something tho. when i used the new M2 in A+ it kept scoring points after changing the direction almost every time, while in most other cars it's like you'd start a new drift and build your score from zero. i tried to learn how to do this constantly but i couldn't. my Bel Air in B can do the same, but very rarely. i have no idea how or why

Old drifting is 10000 times better your just ass

If you go slightly above the tear you want you can bring it back down with handling sliders

Hey man just wondering how you got your HUD and screen display fully off bc when I go into setting I can only turn the Mini Map & Speedometer off but the rest of my screen like the top half is still showing ??

For drift I slap tires on, lower the gearbox, then slap the biggest forced induction as I can, then make up the rest with other parts or just fine tune the downforce.

Ecu is making the car go a lot up in the tiers so I don’t use it

You know you chain your drift getting like 30k in one drift . It’s just hard timing the braking and turning the car to keep the points going

Try brake tap I find it acts better when trying to left foot brake because it doesn't pull to the inside so hard

The clutch is another part that isn’t necessary to upgrade. You should only use it to increase your tier number.

You can only use them in pro drift races. Not regular drift races

Stick to the neutral suspension work better keeping the car not as grippy

Ngl, the only thing I dislike about the new drifting, and I dont even dislike it to much, is that the game punishes you for too much angle, I can come in reverse entry and get less points cause i wasent in the green, but somone can come in and score double me with no speed or angle, but that's just me complaining, prolly just a skill issue on my part

If I am understanding this correctly based on what you said I assume you mean the green angle bar at the bottom ? If so than don't worry, it doesn't give you more points for being in it or not, it's not what determines your score, just shows how close you are to reaching max angle and spinning out or losing drift. It contributes to letting you know when you might start to lose points, not that it effects the points itself. Tho your score is based on how well you chain your drifts, how fast and long you hold it and also one great way of building up points fast is twin drifting, it shoots your multiplier up really fast and you rack up points like crazy, someone did this with their friend, and when tandem drifting they supposedly got 60k more points than they did when drifting solo. So try copying your lead driver as much as possible or letting the person chasing you stay close, you both benefit from the points, rest is up to skill since these new physics take away any reason for a car to have an advantage.

I know its not the focus of the video but I gotta ask, are the cops in single player still a huge pain in the ass? They were hands down one of the worst aspects of this game back when it released. I finished the game two weeks after it launched and moved on, but I'm tempted to come back for this update. Only issue is that I want to get through the single player for the free cars, but the cop system takes all the enjoyment out of it.

After I had to start my game over because the EA app messed up my save file got messed, I just put the game on the easiest difficulty and it didn't seem that bad, but I was kinda speed running it too so idk
