This works in my experience. I now question every thought that elicits and emotion as though it was coming from someone else. It is surprising how many negative thoughts that would have once got me really down now make me laugh because of their absurdity. It isn't quite accurate to say we are not our thoughts but we are certainly MORE than our thoughts and realizing that is everything. If an idiot came up to you and said something negative that was just wrong you wouldn't let it ruin your day. Recognize that we all have an inner idiot who needs love, patience, and guidance.

Ironically, I lived a life that centered on the feelings of others. Instead of expressing my feelings frankly, I thought I had to live a happy life that would require suppressing my feelings to avoid making problems. At the same time, I firmly believed that my inner anxiety or nervousness should not be revealed. I tried to think positively or forced a smile on my face, hiding my unease and pretending not to know. Some feelings discomforted me, which I knew I should not be feeling, yet whenever those feelings arose, I would deny myself and suffer. I thought this was the right way, but reality told me the contrary. I became more vulnerable. I started to use the "Intended mindfulness playlist' and got much better. It really works 🙂🙂

What he descrbies exactly happened to me too. I could not leave home because i was so overwhelmed with negative thoughts. When i also heard of power of thought and change my attitude abd thoughts it to 2 weeks! 2 weeks for the opprtunity to appear. I decided by autum to move to my dream country (it was end of spring when i decided). By beggininng of summer i was already there, it was amazing! I didn't apply to anything but i liked a Page 6 months ago and they contacte me based on that abd offered a job. I realized i blocked my opprtunity because of my thought for at least 6 months. After i moved i also ed back on my negative patern thought even worse than before, so after 1 year i lost everything and then i got it back and better after i started changing my thoughts again. We do create our own reality but i still go back to negative thiking often and is stronger. I assume i must be addicted to my negative patern...

I feel so comfortable watching Eckhart Tolle, the way he speaks and explains is not like any other. It feels like he's just discussing with experience rather than just knowledge and awareness around these topics, when professionals speak on a topic like these it can often make you feel like they know better and we're the ones who ought to be knowing the same but personally when I hear him talk it feels like it is what it is and this is how one would work on it in the simplest of ways. His added humour and the audience reaction makes it furthermore engaging and light-hearted, topics like these can he intense and there's a lot of pressure around healing but this just feels like a gathering and safe zone to just rest and understand. To take it slow, cuz healing can't be rushed.

I decided to read a book, and i chose randomly 1 of hundreds of books in our bookshelf and it was "The power of now"... i am not exaggerating if i say that it was the turning point of my life and the end of the bad thoughts problem... i am still facing them, but i am now aware of them and i am able to stop them. i can't but thank God because he let me choose this book and because he let me know Eckhart Tolle. @@nobodyreally the beauty of Byron Katie is that you put it on paper so the Ego can’t escape. When you do The Work enough eventually you no longer need it and simply laugh at the thoughts. But the one caveat is you must be ready and willing to dive into the abyss.

From 3:23 Recognize when you go into the past and into blaming someone : Notice it's repetitiveness by saying it's here again (don't judge yourself if the thoughts are repeated) and dissociate with it by saying this thought is not me and I DON'T WANT IT but my pain body wants it This severs the link between pain body and thoughts This is just the beginning of the end

The more we allow ourselves to become interested in Awareness, Presence, feelings of depression or unhappiness will die of neglect. Perhaps addiction isn’t the best word, more of a unconscious conditioning that gets rehearsed mostly outside of our awareness. Eckhart has written and spoken about this at length. Society is obsessed with addictions so I think it might be wise to pull back from the use of that word in this instance. May you walk with the awareness of, I Am.🌹

He’s actually doing the most beneficial thing, by trying to plant many seeds to allow someone to make their own connections. The incorrect way to “answer” such a deep/emotional question is to give logic. Rather, give wisdom that may become their own. It’s very basic psych as well. Which is why, in my opinion, a lot of people don’t like psychologist, because they don’t seem to “fix” them. That’s because the only true help has to come from within and it’s just their job to bring that up.
