8 years later and The Young Bucks ladder match with the Hardyz at Supercard of Honor might be the most important tag team match in Ring of Honor’s history

fast forward, the young bucks is the current biggest tag team star in the world.

I might be wrong or not but I’m calling it now February 9th 2022 Kevin Steen debuts in AEW either in the Owen Hart tournament or he saves Adam Cole and The Young Bucks from a beatdown.

Cornette, when building a company from the ground-up (i.e. Smokey Mountain) and having total control, he can create something amazingly entertaining. But by inserting him into ROH, a product that was already established and growing in popularity, he ruined it by trying to fuck with the characters and atmosphere that made ROH popular in the first place. Cornette just didn't understand ROH. It wasn't SMW or OVW. It wasn't broken, but he tried to fix it.

Yeah, essentially the same thing I said. Not trying to knock his success, but Cornette obviously had to come in with a predetermined idea of what he wanted to do. It hurt the companies reputation and turned away some of their biggest stars. Cornette comes across as crazy sometimes, I won't lie. I remember he claimed to really start yelling at Vince Russo for wanting to push Eric Young. For all his success, his attitude and inability to compromise hurts his career.

How ironic that the Bucks are returning at All Star Extravaganza lol

Seems like Cornette really wanted to do things his way and not take advantage of the popularity of guys like Cabana, Steen, or the Bucks in this case, simply because they didn't meet up with his standards for what a wrestler should be. Cornette talks a big game about his vision of pro wrestling and can really skewer people going off track from that vision. Still though, it seems like the spots are now there for the taking if they just reached out. Time for a new era if you will.

1:46 I think that statement needs to be changed because people are definitely gonna remember Young Bucks v. Forever Hooligans from Manhattan Mayhem V.

Fast forward to now and looking back on what he says is even funnier. Now they have had some absolutely phenomenal matches in ROH in more recent times.
