Family harmonies are untouchable. Some songs are best as a male-female duet meaning a father-daughter or brother-sister. Listen to "I heard the bluebirds sing". Marty Robbins does a good version as do Jim and Jesse. But neither male version can touch the versions by Jim Ed & Maxine Brown (brother-sister) or Hugh & Maria Doherty (Father-Daughter).

I haven't heard this song in years. I stumbled back into it this last week and it's part of the songs on my iphone plus several more of theirs. I also found "I Swear" by John Michael Montgomery..I sung this song to my sweet hubby Jerry after a near fatal wreck that put him in a wheelchair for life but together Jerry and I made it. I simply titled my faves under The Kendall's so I have them to listen to when I want a lift up. Jerry and Sugar Bear are happily watching Dale Earnhardt Sr race in Heaven with the Angels. I plan on joining Jerry and Sugar Bear and Dale Earnhardt Sr and listen to the beautiful music and watch Dale race to win with Angels. Thank you. Gloria and Bear

Hey 👋 how are you doing?
I Grew Up On This My Mom Played Their Music Every Friday Night When I Was Growing Up
I haven't heard this song in years.
Just one more reason I hate today's so-called country music. This is a classic. Miss the days when you could turn on ANY country music station and hear these great country songs. Today's so-called country music is like fingernails on a chalkboard. IMO.

Country promoters don't concern themselves with talent anymore. All they're interested in is what someone looks like and if they think they can be dressed up into a persona that sells. The talent is secondary.

I've always loved this song! My daddy loved it too! He passed in 1986
Awesome pair, I listened to this song 10,000 times.
That was my favorite song the year they came out with it!it is very true and meaningful just like all of the old fashion country and western songs! I would do anything to have them come back!👍💞🙏
I ❤ The Old Country Songs 🎵 Also 😊
One of the duet legends whose music will live forever in our hearts and Heaven. Jennie's voice remains beautiful and Royce sings in Heaven always to be cherished by God and the Angels. The Oppermans from Tx
Another great song by the kendals...
Went to see them live in Wilson NC. Late 70’s or early 80’s. Memory is not as good as it once was.
Dynamic duo indeed .part of the best...
Of all the father - daughter duets about screwing, this one is the best.
I keep playing this song over and over-I never get tired of it!

WOW THIS SONG BRINGS MAMORIES ,, LOVE IT
Love this classic hit song, like when first came out on radio stations. Back then. So glad got chance see them in concert, once in life time. Favorite music artist. Thank You.
I was assigned the NATO Headquarters when this song came out. I was a member of the Rhineland Baptist Church then, Paster Roy Griggsby heard me singing this song while I was dusting the piano and he said “You can’t sing that trash in here” I said “Why not Pastor, God hears me sing it all the time, besides it’s a Gospel song” he just shook his head.

Late 70's good times. and music!
What a Beautiful Girl, Great Country!
As old as this song is it still is great. Hope to see you again at the big sing in the sky.
Great voice and terrific outfit on her. Love the hat. Royce just a solid looking doting dad.
This song is one of my favorites.
I had forgotten how fantastic they were! Bought their records and albums. What a great blend of voices her lead is always pitch perfect and her dad's harmony is perfect as well. Thank you to whomever uploaded this great video!
Love this song.
My dad had The Kendalls on 8 track and this was my favorite song as a child and it took me forever to get back to it. Oh the memories...
Being a Catholic I wished we had music like this at our Mass. The attendance would increase. KC Weston Florida
Those Harmonies are soooo great!
Great song great performance
Nothing left but good memories about the music back then. I don't know why but the country music always sounded better in Colorado. Came from the same source but for some reason it just sounded and meant more in Colorado.
They were as good as you can get!
This was the B-side to "Live and Let Live" - another beautiful song by the Kendalls!
I always love this song, first time i see them singing. Even better. Thanks.
Always had the hots for her back in them days--- soooo good to hear that fantastic singing voice again…
Have always loved this song!

Saw them in the 70s with my parents I think Tanya tucker too I’ll never forget
Had the Privilege.of meeting them and Freddy Fender in Brownwood TX in 1979 when I DJ'd/MC'd a Show they put on at the Brownwood Colliseum. Super nice Folks, and very Down-to-Earth. Come to find out, her Poppa hailed from the Jonesboro AR area...where I used to run through when I was a Younger Fellow.
if you really think about it 'we're all just a sin away. much truth.
Love hearing the ladies go crazy over Richard's deep voice.
This is a good father daughter group.😊😊😊😊😊
