The Keeley Muse Driver...Not just another Blues Driver!
Музыка
In this video I'll demonstrate the Andy Timmons Muse Driver by Keeley Electronics. I'll feature interviews from Robert Keeley himself and discuss why he made the Muse Driver as well his beginnings of modding the Boss Blues Driver BD-2 circuit!

Thx Andy! Congrats on another great collab!
Andy Timmons collabs are winners (Halo, JHS Angry Charlie). Thanks, Corey! Sounding great…cheers brother!
Is it possible that there is another channel that is so cool! The clarity of site and sound , the room and equipment, the neatness of Coreys demo, man not only cool but so much to learn and be influenced by, there are levels , Corey presents Top Shelf, his guitar playing and precision is a reflection of his character, that’s the only way it can be so together! Great example to the guitar world, thank you for letting us inside!
This is an excellent demo. Loved the clips with Robert. I’m waiting on mine from Sweetwater.
This pedal sounds amazing! I love how it cleans up!
Great video Corey! 🤩 My Muse Driver got delivered. Can’t wait to go in, thanks for the info.
This was a super helpful video. Very thorough and well done. You covered a lot of ground. Thanks so much!

Glad it was helpful!
I like the technical discussions of the elements of the circuits. Because of the YT format (compressed audio) it can be hard to hear some of the finer differences. When the components are given a reference to what they should be doing to the tone we can still get why the "mods" have been made and what to expect of them. I enjoyed listening to RK and the development of his pedal as well. Thanks
Good job Mr. Keeley - Corey - you can play dude - loved the different styles you did to hear the full effect of the pedal.
Fab! Great sounds and playing thank you 😎

Thanks so much
I had a blues driver pedal. Keely modded it, and it was like the thing went to heaven.
Godammit Robert, I JUST got a Super AT Mod after searching high and low for a BD2 with top jacks and buffered bypass but coming up short, I shit you not. Just my luck... This thing looks incredible and was EXACTLY what I was looking for in the first place. Fuck me.
12:27 - you could say the same thing about Two-Rock amps..."filtering out" specific frequencies is one of the 'secrets' to great guitar tone
Corey, man ! Watching you play is a blast. Your finger work on your right hand is crazy good. I’m working at it and that’s why it’s so fun to see you up close like this. Just now thinking about it, this whole Medium, Video “media”, has given us humans a much closer look at one another than ever before. Great video! Thanks for sharing your talent and extremely hard work. JJZ…(°¿.°`)

Thx for that!
Could be tweaking my tone fiveever lol and not feel like home yet as Lari Basilio would say. I’ve got the Halo in my shopping cart. Hopefully it will help me get closer to the sound I want. Now time to get back to practicing those Dom 7th arpeggios, lol! Thx for your reply! 😊
Just snagged one after the name change was announced. Watch the originals go up now.
You have that Sire sounding nice. Would you recommend
How does the Keeley Muse Driver compare to the Boss Waza Craft Blues Driver?
I love Andy Timmons sound! Tossed as to what pedals to add to my pedal board. If I already have the Boss Digital Delay DD-8, would adding the Halo Andy Timmons Dual Echo cause issues? Since they're both delay pedals do you use one or the other? Also with the Ox Box, does the soft ware come when you purchase the actual Ox Box or can the software be purchased on it's own. Thanks Corey!

You could just use one or the other. Wouldn’t cause issues. I have the halo and use it extensively because I rarely use specific “ timing based” delays. Unfortunately I rarely use the other settings, as I love the double delay “ halo” sound.

Software is definitely included in the Ox. Using more than one delay pedal is fine as you could set the differently for certain sounds.
also what wood is the body or maybe just tell me the model so I can look it up ? thanks
One of the things I don't like about some overdrives is how much they cut the low end - so they great for leads, but just lack umph when you want to dig into some power chords or more percussive low end playing. Does this pedal have any decent low end to it? Can you adjust that? Hopefully you know what I mean by that - so many great overdrives, but half of them just kill the low end, which im not a fan of.

The modes on the tone control will allow you to cut or add bass.

Switching to "RK" on the tone side will raise the level of the bass end. The papers that accompany the Muse Driver contain a side-by-side frequency response graph showing the difference, as between the AT and RK tone settings, as between the bass response. AT is focused for lead and solo playing, whereas the RK is fuller for overall balance.
I’m still waiting for my MUSE..!!! It’s already been a week..! AAGGGHHHHHHHH 🤣
18v or 9v? I see people review this pedal but never say what voltage was used.
what pickups are in that strat ?
Hey Corey - As expected you can't hear any tone differences between any AT and RK modes on KZread. Looks like just another very good tubescreamer to me. There's 100s now and at US$200 it's more expensive than most :)
I found the pedal was noisey. I noticed you turned the drive up all the way which I found too noisey. Did you use a noise gate or something else to deal with that?
When did John Stewart grow a mustache and learn play guitar?
As much as I like my Halo, I've been trying not to develop a dislike for the Muse since I acquired it. However, it alters my sound immediately upon turning it on, diminishing the warm low endI already have, which I can't restore even by adjusting the tone knob. Because of this, I find it unsuitable for my clean channel; it sounds better when it's completely bypassed, running just through my Halo instead. Perhaps my amp's circuitry is just that superior? I'm not certain, but I'm honestly tempted to sell the Muse already.
Let's hear it with no reverb please.
