"Them Duke Boys!" James Best
Thanks.
I recognize the voice of Art Gilmore on San Francisco Beat.
He played guitar for Bobby Fleet & his band with a beat.
The musical score is amazingly tympani heavy.
Rosco P Coltrane in his younger days.

He played in lots of shows
What did ya do that for? You didn't have to hit him... Yes I did...he held out on me and didn't give me the change. 😃
WARNER ANDERSON AND TOM TULLY. I watched this show as a kid in reruns. There was a movie called The Line-up w/Eli Wallach. James Best. Narrator Art Gilmore lived to be 98. Did Highway Patrol and was a sometime actor who showed up in both TV Dragnets and Adam 12.

Have seen Warner Anderson and Tom Tully in The Caine Mutiny and Anderson in an ep of The Rockford Files. Wonder if Herb Caen watched this show.I like seeing the SF landmarks.

Police Officers were made of different stuff in those days, I know, because my Father was one at that time.

@tommytwoglove what does that matter? The story would still be the same if the character's name was Smith or Jones, etc. BTW - Kasino is the germanized spelling of Casino. Not used much anymore.

@@michaelhoffman5486 I see. So if he was named Goldschmidt or Goldberg you couldn't say that person is Jewish. What about Peretti? McMurphy? Lee? Narasaki? BTW if the person was named Costello they could b Irish OR Italian. COSS-ta-lo if Irish, Cos-TELL-o if Italian. Pazaruski is Polish, but Spassky is Russian.
