Charity when done as a cop-out or status-symbol can be very detrimental, karmically. And even the one or two ‘validated’ ways to do it are not worth it, as the resultant karmic effect will be weak, but the donor’s mind gets an ego-boost that will NOT serve him/her well.

When youre not able to help yourself, Help someone who is going through similar struggles that you do. That is not looking down on someone or "charity" , but will make you feel better.
Iam too practicing option B now😅.Its the better option. Happy to see a soul with same thoughts . ....

Yea coz u have a lot of that already…!
Whatever we see people doing is actually sharing and not charity , we are sharing part of our earnings or belongings to negate earlier wrong doings Karma is not only about action and consequence , karma is also about intent , so if the charity is done with the intent of helping without expecting anything in return then it’s fine but the moment intent and action don’t align then for sure it’s negative.
