I’m proud to see the legacy that my grandfather( Late Mr Ghulam Mohammad Kanihama ) left behind through his passion for preserving this beautiful craft. Watching this video has filled me with a sense of pride and gratitude, knowing that my late grandfather’s hard work and dedication have helped to keep this art form alive. I hope that this video will inspire others to take an interest in Kanishawl and the many other traditional crafts that are in danger of being lost.

Sorry to correct you the fabric in shawls is not silk but it's called as pashmina a fabric obtained from a Himalayan goat called changra in Tibet and ladakh

it only happen in Kashmir so Pakistan side i have two shwals and i think every Pakistani lady have in Pakistan demand is really high in the cold weather of Punjab we use Kashmiri shawals and they are really good its been 10 year shawal is really fresh and good qulaity even not a single thread out of place demand is really high so they make in bulk and use stuff from normal to costly one depending on product and demand .silk thread shawals are really coslty but if you purcahse ione use it as much as you want it will always look new

Wowww so much time and labour goe sinto this beautiful masterpiece. These shawls are too delicate to be worn on a daily basis. Rich Europeans buy these and wear them, or frame them. I have one but its too delicate and its ruined now . These are also available in Pakistan , not only in India, as the title suggests.

Absolutely...this really is an investment...you can't believe old shawls which were worn by royals in kolkota are fetching crores of rupees even now...!!

Price 70k to 10 Lakh..😮 99% of Indians can't afford this shawl. Better they market their products in Italy or other European countries
