The Kabbalah of Water: Hidden Worlds

The second of the four human temperaments is water. Water reflects the calm and relaxed personality type. One that is fluid and soothing. The water archetype is love, which surrounds and nurtures us in its embrace. We begin our lives submerged in the embryonic fluids of our mother's womb. Love moisturizes everything it comes in contact with. Like water, it makes things grow and is the source of great pleasure.
On a deeper level, the Kabbalistic mystics explain that water manifests the supra-conscious, and teaches us how to be submerged in and absorbed by a reality greater than ourselves, where subject and object fuse as one
Please join Rabbi Jacobson and explore this water feature in your life. Learn how to cultivate and build the nurturing powers of water, harness its strengths and temper its indulgences. Discover how to create the proper balance and harmony between the fire and water within your psyche and soul.

Thank you Rabbi Jacobson for yet another lovely sermon. I sit down every day to watch your videos and elevate my self. Your teachings always hit it on the nail for me! I was raised very secular and so I particularily appreciate your ability to use scientific terms and analogies. Thank you! I feel the Love you share and this comment can barely reflect my reciprocation.

We can be raised secular, as I was, but that doesn’t mean the world is. God is logic, as you can tell by the fact the creator must be the ultimate logician, scientist, engineer, artist, etc. People that are too “scientific” to find God should look at what science and math are, and what they have in common with a good Rabbi going through scripture....application of logic is the answer. It’s also the only thing that can “make itself” as the first drop of logic (order) in the ocean of primordial chaos would still be part of the logic itself. People ask “if god made everything then who made God” and logic is the only thing (at least in English terminology...these words are well defined and I didn’t create them, I’m just putting two and two together) that can fit that hole. Logic is the only thing that can tautologically prove itself. Logic, in all its possible forms, even less formal ones (poor reasoning) is what created all else, and behind the name (like you are more than your name) it’s fundamentally the same concept that we also refer to as God.

Even the chaos and “darkness” is a state of a logical system. An illogical state, where nothing is stable and the creation we know would have been a “hidden” possibility, but it’s still a system of logic nonetheless. Know ALL there is to know about Logic and you will know God. Then, while other religions become exposed as mostly nonsense, Judaism really takes on a whole new meaning as far as how you should view the relationship between you and this creator.

This is why the scripture says that when people know him (belief is not knowledge) all they will do all day long is worship him. The only way this makes sense without our god being a needy tyrant which clearly god is not, is that God is the same concept we call logic/reason...when you know him you will worship aka be sane and knowledgeable all day long. If that meant something else it would beg the question why God created free will, and a family of souls like ours if all he wanted was an army of robots to mindlessly now down. This is not our God. He only wants you to know him so you aren’t illogical, immoral, and insane, because by definition without him, without proper logical reasoning, you will be lost and unstable....you may destroy yourself and other creations and fall back into the primordial darkness as something that does not exist beyond a possibility....

If One Is To Focus Only Upon Love, Then One Should Abstain From Speaking About Truth; And If One Is To Focus Only Upon Truth, Then One Should Abstain From Speaking About Love. Yet, In Both Instances, One Will Find It Equally As Difficult To Explain Either Without A Trustworthy Concept Of Each. In This Manner, They Are Inseparable; In Essence, They Are Both Forms Of Light.

I have learned about the 10 Sefirot, does fire, water, air, earth connect or interconnect with this graph or model? For instance is it in the 10 Sefirot graph? Or, is there a different graph or model description or key words the 4 elements connect to such as an umbrella concept of identifier hebrew word?

What if the embryonic submersion didn't give that part of "belonging" instead it was a feeling of not been wanted? It happens to some children when the situation is not pleasant to the mother?

This is what it means in the writing "Zechariah 8:23 Thus says the LORD of hosts: In those days ten men from the nations of every tongue shall take hold of the robe of a Jew, saying, ‘Let us go with you, for we have heard that God is with you.’" "Jew" does not refer to a single person, but to the "spiritual Jews" Romans 2:28-29 Romans 2:28-29 (NRSV) 28 "For a person is not a Jew who is one outwardly, nor is true circumcision something external and physical. 29 Rather, a person is a Jew who is one inwardly, and real circumcision is a matter of the heart-it is spiritual and not literal. Such a person receives praise not from others but from God." for he is a Kabbalists and one who is teaching the Secrets of Torah and his voice is the sound of the shofar
