    You Mr Get Enlightened, from your tone and choice of words, you sound like a person who has little or no respect for women.🙄 You sound like a man who thinks marrying a woman is doing her a favour!🤦 Chai God save us!🙏....But that's by the way. The man in court needs to pay more attention to his wife.. didn't you hear her complain?.. Little, but most important things of family relationship are usually ignored by men like these who want the world to see how wonderful they are, and how lucky you are to have them. It is obvious in his narration. That woman didn't really have the chance to really tell her own side, but she has been judged stubborn by many of us because the man sounds so good and responsible. It's a good idea to get them a professional counsellor who will listen extensively to both sides equally, and guide and help them restore their home . Psychological/emotionally abuse is more deadly sometimes than physical abuse. It is difficult to see, but the victim dies slowly, while the abuser appears like the saint. That's the case here too @Get Enlightened

    I love the fact that the man wants to fight for his marriage. This is so encouraging from a Nigerian man.Most times, it's women who fight for their marriage which shouldn't be... Moreso, Not being sensitive to your spouse is subtle but can actually break a home.eg not noticing a new hairdo, not knowing when they are sick etc.

    For singles like myself, know that when you get married, you are not only marrying the man or the woman, but the family. Do your investigation before you jump in excitement saying "I do". Some spouses are demonic!

  • @ivieeva6166

    @ivieeva6166

    2 жыл бұрын

    I agree with you on carrying out investigations, but I don't agree that when one gets married, he or she is marrying their families as well. I've been married for 13years now. We had serious issues during our first 2yrs of marriage. When I realized where the problems came from, I told my wife to let US stay away from my families, i also told her to choose between me and her own family and her marriage. That was how we were able to resolve our problems.

  • @adamsalex6342

    @adamsalex6342

    2 жыл бұрын

    @@ivieeva6166 It's beautiful to know you were able to resolve the differences early in the marriage by discretionarily making a decision that seemingly contribute to your happy home while making your home a priority and not guests, which include members of your family. The point I made in my initial statement is that families play a role in the lives of individuals. We can evidently see that in the case that was brought before the honourable court. Many broken homes are birth from negative interventions in couples' problems by family members, that would have been resolved without such intervention in this first place. Hence, it makes it imperative to know and understand the kind of family you are getting married to, so when a rescinding point comes in your marriage or relationship, you can probably conjecture rationally how the situation would turn out.

    A little thing as little as not looking at your wife's face to notice when she's not feeling well can break a marriage. Most times men over look that part. It's not just about visibly doing things that people would notice you're a gentle man. But being that kind and empathetic husband outweighs alot of things. I pray they find a lasting solution to their problem. Amen

    Well done dear Judge. I understand you don’t have the chance to a second thought, just like we the viewers. But, there are some cases like this you need to take short recess to access the issues critically. This gentle man is striving to survive between his wife and family. Unfortunately, it’s beyond Counselling, there should be a family - family resolution to this matter. Best wishes to them both..

    a marriage councellor will sort this out. Caution is needed on the extended family here because the religious believes of both husband and wife here seem contradictory-- one easily seek solutions from herbalists , the other hates it but had to pay for it to avoid troubles.

So you don’t know what you have till is gone…. People in Lagos Island don’t like to live elsewhere. I live in Ikoyi so I understand their life a bit. It’s enjoyment back to back. Yes, it's difficult for someone raised on Lagos Island to live elsewhere in Lagos. Those people are real Lagosians. It's like an addiction. Also, any man that wants to marry a woman from a Lagos Island family should watch out very well. Their women don't mind marrying 2 or 3 times and these could be traced back to returnee slaves during the slave trade era.

If I can't convince her in coming back I would be left with no other option than divorcing her. It is very obvious that she is being rebellious to him. Her going to a native Doctor against his faith, belief is even enough reason to divorce her.
