I absolutely loved THE JUDAS BLOSSOM when I first read it around this time last year. To get ready for the release of the second book, I wanted to get in a reread so that I'd be primed and ready to go as soon as it arrived.
In today's video, I chat about my thoughts and opinions of the book and if it stood up to that 5 star rating I gave it the first time around.

Lezlie, the physical & I hope , the audio copies of all 3 novellas will be released together in an omnibus early in 2025. I can barely read a physical book without my eyes failing so I do not want to try an ebook. Also wow the audiobooks have the most delightful Irish narrator! I will definitely comment to you after I listen to the Land of the Living and the Dead in September. I know Ms. Lawless will be working on another 3 book arc in this world too!!! Maybe it will be a prequel series like Dreams of Fire but further back!! I do hate Fodla’s husband too… unlike him, Gormflaith is more of a juicy villain like Erica Kane or Alexis Carrington from the Soap Opera world.

I believe in a recent newsletter from the author, she did mention the 3 novellas would be released in 2025 as a bindup - which I will be adding to my collection, of course! I agree with you on everything - the audiobook narrator, Aoife McMahon, is OUTSTANDING. Even when I read the ARCs, I still "hear" it in my head in her voice. She does such a wonderful job! Fodla's huband - Tomas - oh he just makes me want to SPIT. ugh. After I finished the second book, I saw Gormflaith in a whole new light, I felt like I understood her. Again though, you nailed it as she is a villain I love to see on the pages!
I loved the audio narration on the Judas Blossom so I need to re-listen to that again befor I dive into the next!

I *love* the narrator! I got a copy of the ARC for the second book, so no audio, but I "heard" it in my head in Mitra's voice :D

I did get the ARC for Dreams of Sorrow and read it in one sitting. I was so dumb too - I figured I would and still thought it was a good idea to start it at 10:15 one night, lol. It answered a lot of questions and got my blood BOILING. Let me know when you read it and we can chat - I'm sure you'll figure out quickly who I'd love to strangle from that story!
