I have to agree with other comments….this video was way too long for the content. I am a quilter and a Bernina owner. I have a 770QE and a Q24 on a PRO frame and I absolutely love both products. However, I clicked on this video because I’ve been hearing about overlockers and coverstitchers and sergers and was curious about what they were and what they could do for me. And while I love Amanda Murphy and think she’s a great instructor and I follow her on KZread and FB, I really got nothing out of this video except that she loves the L890. I didn’t see anything in the video that showed me what the L890 could do or why it would be something I’d want to use. The purpose of the video was to highlight the quilt she put together using the machine, but all we saw was it gathered and draped over the dress form and never saw the quilt up close and in its entirety. Very disappointing, but to be honest, par for the course with Bernina videos. I even went to the Bernina website to check out the features of this machine and the videos there didn’t show me anything about the machine itself or its features. It was just people saying how great it was. If it IS so great, show me. Please. Bernina really needs to bring their product to the people and not be so aloof about it. Every other longarm manufacturer has great videos about longarming and they provide all kinds of ideas, tips, etc. about all things longarming-except Bernina. Their channel is just boring highlight videos that don’t give us substance. Please, Bernina, keep up with the times so we know how best to use YOUR products, and feel like you are supporting us users as well. Develop a channel that highlights how to use your products with people who aren’t reading off a teleprompter and SHOW us HOW to do those things. Don’t just talk about them. Creative people are visual people.

Sorry but this was a waste of a half hour of my life. I understand you are trying to sell the machine and need to do the advertising portion. But why did you not show examples of these serged edges, ironed seams, clean seams that a serger can make. I am a garment sewer and I also quilt. I have used my serger for those jelly roll race quilts, the ones that get all those ratty edges from being handled too much. The serger , sewing a bit slowly, give me accuracy and CUTS OFF all those HAIRY bits. No trimming. Neatest quilts I have ever made. I love it but my quilting friends cannot envision it. You need to SHOW them what this machine can do for them.

I wish BERNINA would have offered an upgrade bundle with everything but the trolley for those of us that have the L890 and would like to have this “package” to keep our machines up to date. Our local shop is left with trying to piecemeal the various items together.

Guessing the pattern won't work for anyone that doesn't have a top-of-the-line serger to do all the fancy stitches/cover stitches.

Many of these techniques can be done with a cover stitch and Overlocker machines. The pattern has every setting and foot needed.

Leave out the commercials and include a pics of what you are talking about. This video was done as if you were an expert.
