The Joy of Aging, with Kathy Cooper and Peg Mulqueen

A live gathering -- recorded on June 23, 2024. Hosted by Peg Mulqueen along with Kathy Cooper, to discuss the second half of life.
In this video, Peg describes life stages like seasons. Autumn is a time Sylvia Plath once described as the "odd, even time," and it can certainly feel this way as we transition into the second half of our lives. A transformational time, a creative time, and a time of letting go. After which comes winter, a time of clear seeing, truth-telling, and world weaving,
And while everyone loves summer, the second half of life offers us an opportunity to reclaim the parts of ourselves lost to ambition, the desire to please and meet outside expectations, plus all the building and doing associated with summer.
Kathy talks about how this relates to the Yoga practice and how she has transitioned and changed throughout her 48 years of practice.

Such a great discussion. The number of people who signed on to participate in the discussion indicates this topic resonates with many. I did notice that the majority of participants were women, how many men are also discovering that as they age, their practice has to change, are they talking about this with other men who practice yoga and Ashtanga yoga in particular??
