So in 1970's and 1980's A-7D was SEAD Iron Hand. When was A-7 finally retired. 1992-1993. Good to know for DCS.
I love the Intruder/Prowler aircraft... What a unique heavy hitter, and EW groundbreaking escort. Jamming radar and such, was and IS a very important mission
As much as I miss the old diverse Navy with the Tomcats and Prowlers I think they have made the right move by Turning the Hornet into such a multirole platform including the Growler. It just makes sense.
