I think what's missing is the Rick and Morty adventure dynamic. It feel like they haven't really interacted since last season

Best Rick and Jerry episode

It needs a classic R&M adventure. The coffee interaction in the first episode was hilarious. I think their building Rick as a character though, hence the focus on him the last two episodes. If I were to guess, there's gonna be a crazy epic lore dump season finale about him and Rick Prime or something. idk, I'm just speculating. Here's hoping for a Rick AND Morty focused episode next.

I liked this episode way better than last week. Very funny, but Rick and Jerry should never team up😂

Gene is getting more play this season

The voice actor for the show had some serious drama. He and the show parted ways. There is another show(The Solar Opposites) that he was a voice actor for as well. Rick and Morty did what they could to keep the voices but Solar Opposite just blatantly said, "This is my new voice now... because of science. Even if there's flashbacks it'll be this voice, deal with it." ... And not in some article in an interview... the character themself said it in the opening Justin Roiland and Dan Harmon were the main creative minds behind this and Roiland brought a lot of the dark humor. The tried to reproduce the feel but its not the same. Still decent but I think they need some time to find the right writers for the show given its unique comedy. "Being a half-Jerry is the worst insult"...

The thing Missing is justin

The last episode of last season ended in such an epic tense conflict, i mean the guy who killed his wife and beth...and, that was the end of that season, and this season so far, we haven't gone on the main storyline or even touched it. Rick and Morty haven't had adventures together yet and they havent addressed that from the last season - what we're watching now feels like anime filler. I thought the episode was still funny. I hope the next ep is a Rick and Morty one, and not a Rick and Summer or Beth...etc. Great reaction though

first episode had some rick hunting evil morty stuff in it (not a good ep tho) and ofc the main plot line wont progress until the end of the season have you ever seen a rick and morty season having canonic episodes in the middle? no they're always in the beginning and/or the end of the season

You think they are using all their b-roll, trying to weather the storm until the Roiland situation dies down, and then play it off as if this whole season was anternate versions of the characters?

@@maywill1 why do people keep theorising that. they said the same about season 6. such a shitty theory. no fucking way they would ever do that, like oh nothing from this season mattered to the main characters? it was all noncanonical to the usual family we follow? In rick's words, dumb, FUCKING DUMB.
