I have a goal to be able to give myself a Jeep SRT soon or a Trackhawk. The one thing I had most doubt on and thanks to this channel I have a clearer picture of is how much money it goes on maintenance for this vehicles. Thanks for that! Looking forward in seeing your future videos with a Trackhawk

Friend and I bought one new for about 5 years. Things to look out for. Brakes go out quickly and I recommend going with aftermarket rotors and pads like he did. Water pump broke twice, radiator cracked under a heavy load. Carbon fiber likes to detach from dash over time, CV boot bent. The tires love to throw tire shine all over the side of the vehicle. My friend’s transmission went out. They just have all kinds of issues after 5 years of ownership. Hoping to upgrade to the SQ8 as my current Q8 has had very little issues and has been very inexpensive to maintain. That said, the SRT was one of the most fun vehicles I’ve ever owned just wish it wasn’t such a money pit.

@@michaels2470eh expected for a high performance suv especially if you drive spirited. Not expecting Toyota / Lexus levels of reliability from a brand known to throw everything into the engine and cheap out on everything else (which is why I love them so much)
@michaels2470

@@jamrah8713 I mean the fender flares on the side of the Jeep are literally held together with double adhesive tape. Same with the carbon fiber inlays. I loved the performance but got tired of dealing with issues I don’t experience from German products. They run too hot, need better cooling & heat extraction. Which they tried implementing in the Trackhawk.
Was legit looking for some new videos from you! Glad everything is still going well for you over at Porsche. You've continued to fuel my desire for a srt and once this all calms down..... looking to purchase one this fall. Nice steal on that rotor as well! Whoever wins it in the raffle will be lucky as hell

what is your opinion im 16 have a hundyai and my friend got the 2014 jeep srt and im planning on getting one too for my 2nd car what do you think?
Could you consider the 100K as the sweet spot for buying it, considering the price depreciation at this point. Is it a good idea to find someone who has just done the 100K service in the agency and the car will be with a very low value, since it’s out of warranty. Or this is just a crazy venture, since the maintenance cost will be much higher than the saving in the car value 🤔 . I am waiting for the new 2021 model to be released to buy an old 2014 model or so, at a bargain price. I guess they don’t change since 2013 isn’t it ?!

Do yourself a favor and save more money until you can get a low mileage SRT Jeep or go with the WK1. You can get a WK1 with low miles for around 23k. Otherwise, I advice you to stay away from them, especially if the guy who is selling it to you has no service records. 86k is a lot of miles for someone not wanting to launch the vehicle. He has kooks headers. That tells me the dude most likely ran the jeep hard. These cars are expensive to maintain even if you do the service yourself. I have a 14 SRT.

@@just_a5.7I can and have beaten scatpacks and hellcats. You need good ass tires and a prepped surface to hook and catch up to an SRT Jeep. Very few streets have prepped up surfaces. @@just_a5.7 I believe you. Those scatpacks and hellcats don't hook. If you're in the market for an SRT Jeep, make sure to get a 14+. You cant go wrong with the 8 speed ZF transmission and the 6.4 hemi. It snaps your neck in track mode. I love my Jeep and it puts a smile on my face when I clap corvettes, 5.0s, and chargers from a dig. The only thing you need to consider is gas mileage. 11-13 city, 18 highway without traffic. @Pull_It_Apart_Paul_Ham_CB 392 Hemis are 🍋 lemons Here in Australia the importer Jerp FCA now Stellantis have side stepped most warranty claims since 2014, leaving 90+% of owners with an 18kAUD or 13kUSD repair bill: Piston ring lan fail. Cam fail. Lifter fail. Mds fail. Oil pump fail need larger volume for this motor. Valve stem seal fail. Plastic coolant line fails Engine mount fails. Oil in the inlet manifold fail. Runs too hot radiators fail short life. Fuel consumption is one of the worst on the road if not the worst. All the electronics and yet the valve train fail rarely shows up as a problem code, some cars engines blow up. Here in Australia parts are 3 x the price of what they should be, the government got involved at one point. We love our Hemis in Australia but there life & reliability is that of a Russian car from the 1960s
at 100000 miles you should NEVER replace your tranmission fuild!!! ever!!!
