I'm very certain that your statement is purely an expression of fandom/lust and does not represent a real possibility. As much as I enjoy the music these women make, they couldn't hold a candle to the real innovators and geniuses of Jazz. Miles would probably leave the club less than a minute into the set. P.S. You nee to work on your written English. It's shit.

I love how Chizuru is just smiling and happy while playing rhythm, but turns on the stink face when it's time for her solo. Meanwhile, Juna is over on her side lost in her own world of funky rhythm until it's time to set the stage on fire. Then there's Senri sitting there playing drums like it's easy (probably is for her) and smiling in the knowledge she wrote this. What a world to live in.

It's off of her first album, but Senri did not write it as far as I know (the credits say Tatsuya Nishiwaki composed it). She most likely wrote her own drum parts and might have had some influence obviously. That said, I compeletly agree with the rest you said. I love watching them all play.

Wow, the Tenor Girl just went cooking and burnt down the whole house 🔥 🔥 🔥 then they go on trading with the alto girl, crazy good. The whole performance was on fire the whole time, with a rock steady beat and groove 🔥

People will probably kill me over this, but the last time I heard someone mistreat a tenor sax like this was Mike Brecker, soloing over Some Skunk Funk. Miku is an absolute animal.

Well that song blew me out of the water like a nuclear tipped torpedo!!! Most excellent!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And I don't think the drummer will ever need a gym membership - what a workout she gave those drums!

The sky is the limit for this talented group. I have been following Juna for a while now and love her bass playing. The whole rhythm section keeps in the pocket just the way it should be done. You can tell they have all put in the work and it shows in their performances. Well done!!!

They are all busying other areas. Senri is and has been fo sometime a fabulous drummer. June is without doubt the Top,of the tree Bass wise. The 4 wonderful Saxophonists just blow me away. Let's not forget the other 2 either..Lovevthem all and follow them separately where possible.

Für einen alten Doldinger-Fan ist das hier eine Frischzellenkur.

I just love what the way you all play together. Such a funky band constellation. And there's absolutely no question about that you are all so very skilled at your respective instruments. And the cherry on top is the stage presence. Everybody is just having a good time being there playing.

They are fantastic musicians. We're so lucky to watch this...To feel those emotions. I''m the sky with The Jazz Avengers.

I knew this tune from Senri’s first album”A La Mode”, and I’ve seen The Jazz Avengers’ other performances, so I knew this would be good even before I clicked on it. But this was much more amazing than I could have imagined. This was my favorite performance by Juna - no gimmicks, just rock solid groove.(She sure looks nice, too!) And like everybody else, it seems, I was completely blown away by Miku. Of course, everyone in the band is great. Who could ask for more? Actually, I will - I hope we see Marie featured in upcoming performances - also, I miss the green frog climbing up Senri’s cymbal stands.

bravo. sounds so good. they are all so good. But in this performance I think Miku steals the show on her Tenor Sax. her tone is amazing. at any octave. she's just phenomenal. I'd love to know what thickness reed she plays. She makes it look effortless. I grew up playing piano, alto and tenor sax. I know what she's doing is not easy. That tone is so good. I've known about Miku on the Tenor, Juna on the bass and Senri on the drums from long before I ever heard the first Jazz Avengers MV in mid 2022. I am so happy these ladies found each other and what wonderful news recently about an upcoming album and tour. I hope they catch fire and we get to see them here in the east coast (NYC/NJ) area some day. what a joy that would be to sit and drink in a supper club type environment and just enjoy their amazing music. Thank you ladies, all of you are superstars in Jazz imo.

I love the dueling saxophones, while the guitarist in behind them has a look of pure ecstasy on her face. It's been rare in my life that I feel that kind of ecstasy. For me, one more notch of innocent joy would have me crying from ecstasy beyond words.

Just when I thought they couldn't get any better! I had chills and the hair on my arms stood up while listening to this! Juna has a flawless Rocco Prestia thing happening here, Ami has sounds coming out of a soprano like I've never heard before, Senri, the Steve Gadd of the new millennium and Chizuru tearing it up and having a great time doing it. All they need now is a female Doc Kupka to balance out the horn section.

“Ami has sounds coming out of a soprano like I've never heard before…” You nailed it. On the original studio recording the counter melody that Ami has is played by trombones (or sampled ‘bones). If someone had asked me about the wisdom of switching trombone lines to a single soprano sax, I woulda thought “Bad idea” - and for many sax sections it probably would be a bad idea. But Ami’s beautiful kick-ass tone sounds even better to me than the original. Just one more of the many, many reasons this horn section is totally unique (and in a band that is totally unique as well!)

Even though she might have to stand on a step stool to play it, I think Miku Yonezawa should switch to Bari...She's got the Doc Kupka energy and tightness.

My man. They are fine as is. They aren't influenced by Tower of Power, but by traditional jazz musicians particular to their instruments. Almost all of them lead their own ensembles. Live - I've seen the Avengers, but also Miku Yonezawa, several times. They are some of the finest musicians on the planet and have a sound all their own. All but Senri attended a music conservatory and their technical abilities are refined and expansive. Ms Terachi plays regularly with Eric Miyashiro's Blue Note All Star Jazz Orchestra - as does Ms. Kawaguchi. Everyone in the band has regular gigs and Jazz Avengers is ostensibly a 'side project' as all are constantly touring in Japan.
