The Japanese Tuner Re-Inventing Ferrari Enzos - Iding Power
Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары
Tucked in between apartments and houses in the back streets of Yokohama sits one of the most legendary Ferrari and BMW tuning shops of all time. Iding Power and Ide-san have been re-inventing some of the most iconic cars, including, but not limited to the ENZO, F40, E30 M3 and McLaren F1! Today we stopped in and had a chat to Ide-san, checked out the shop and some of Ide-san's most insane ideas and projects that are yet to be executed.

What would be your car of choice to drop Ide-sans V12 into?

E31 850csi front, mid engine. Or Bmw m1 it looks like it needs a v12 in there.

Like someone has commented Bmw 850, Ferrari F40, when to me F40 should need some N/A V12 engine what revs like 10 000rpm
From being the official McLaren F1 service center to tuning complete BMWs and Ferraris, IDing Power's rich history is truly mind blowing and deserves more coverage. That V12 engine development work was definitely as professional as any works factory team, just curious why on the 355 though, would be incredibly insane if it's on a F40! Great content as usual Dino! 👍

It was just a potential car that he was envisioning but as he said it would never really work as stretching the chassis to accommodate the motor would be just too difficult. As he sad, the motor was for the F1

@@dino_dcwhat other shops in Japan is like this or you know of?
I remember them. They're pretty og in the bmw world. Only because luckily as a teenager in the early 2000s my father/son project with my pops was his 97 e36 328i. Ended up being the world's first 1000whp, 9 second e36 328i. With full interior, AC , and heated leather seats.🔥 Whats wild is my pops only built and messed with Pontiacs before he bought the e36. Started out auto and he had 18 inch chrome wheels on it. Got it right when him and my mom split.. and he started going to the clubs.😂
The passion emitting from just a couple videos of this shop is intoxicating. I can’t imagine how it feels to be there and have the understanding of Dino to absorb the moments.
Something very special about Japan and Japanese people, thanks for sharing

The attention to detail, quality of work, and degree of improvement over stock is incredible! The Japanese truly live up to their reputation of precision

Yep and Ide-san is a true master of his craft!
10:03 I ❤ the little vine casually creeping in, whilst below an Enzo and M1 are having some fresh air. A true vibe
Funny how the implementation of the rear view screens on the enzo looks so much better than on cars from big companies like mclaren and aston martin.

Because he doesnt have to deal with manufacturing regulations on crash safety and all that garbage.
I was just about to say that race engine needs to be in a mclaren f1. Was definitely feeling the s70's inspiration looking at their v12. Makes sense considering how hot the s50b30s they were messing with at the said time of development (93)
I never liked the Enzo's original styling, this looks mega! Beautiful shop aswell.

It reminded me of the 250 LM but in mine craft form. I love the ugly Ferraris.
Grassroots/uniquely specialized shops like this are something else. Keep them alive, so cool.
Really appreciate the introduction to Iding; they're like a more focused, successful Tommy Kaira. That V12 would appear to at least be based on a McLaren F1 engine, which, let's not forget, is a BMW engine. There are at least...4...body parts I'd sell to drive that E class.

Should have walked into the porting room like mtv cribs..... "this is where the magic happens" 😂
Ide-san is a real gentleman, car enthusiast and a brilliant engineer whom I met in the late '90s. The Japanese magazine Special Cars International asked me to do a story on Iding Power Europe, which had just opened in Hamburg, Germany at the time. I tested his tuned E36 M3 and Ferrari F355 for them, and also ran the story in European Car magazine in the US. I still have all the sales brochures he gave me on the day. Thank you for the privilege Ide-san!

Loving the different facets of car culture in Japan! Thank you! 🤙
Modifying an Enzo sounds like a sacrilegious act but Ide-san has done it so tastefully that you have to admire the thought and effort that has gone into it. I'd love to see the Enzo and 460 being driven, if you get the chance in the future. Truly special cars and what a wonderful tuning shop. Thanks for the insight Dino!

Everything he has done in each car has been done with much knowhow and taste. Nothing is OTT, it's just right. As for driving the Ferraris, that would be a dream!!

Phenomenal video. Thank you. This man is a super tuner, and I love the fact he embraces the 80’/90’s BMWs. I have a 92 E36, 325I that I purchased new back in 1992, needs work, but I will die in that car. I love it….Question. I would love to know how. Ide-san feels about modern day BMW’s, G80’s, F80’ and so on? Anti blowers? Lol. Thanks. Great work 👍🏽✌🏽

It's always telling when people like Chris Harris talk to you how "good" BMW ZF8 is, then show you what he drives in his personal life, a green manual 964. Or a little Japanese master mechanic that built a fortune modifying BMW, then drives a black 964.

It was registered at their shop in Germany
You should remove the apostrophe in the title, you intend to say “Enzos” like plural but instead you’ve said “Enzo’s” which is possessive, like it’s something the car has
