The Jam remains as relevant as ever, one of the best bands to come out of England

Absolutely one of the best groups to ever do it.

All these old tunes are more relevant now these days then when they came out

Had this on VHS back in the day. They sound amazing at this gig.

NO BAND WILL EVER EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE JAM. No group sounds like them live. No one ever penned lyrics like their frontman. No band ever played with such RAGE and HEART EVER.

I was too young to love the Jam back in the day, I was 7 when they broke up in 82, but they are the band of my childhood and have a special place in my life. One of the greatest bands of them all.

What the hell can I say, well maybe that it's the best friggin Jam video of all time! When these 3 lads started out I imagine they could not conceive how HUGE they would become. i sure wish I had seen then at this show.

you can feel the energy from Paul Rick Bruce … Brit music was untouchable at this time.. talent shows were left at Huey Greens doors - back then you grafted to get famous and had to have talent. Cheryl Cole watch and take note. I saw them in Battersea town hall late 70s. Made my life …

I still totally remember this gig- a peak of quality & flair- they were alive

The fucking energy!! Amazing!

saw them 3 times and got to the the front each time - nothing like it anywhere else - 100s of pogoing fans who knew every word - no0 beer, no mobiles and no wankers talking over the band on stage

Gary Palmer M8 I think that the Jam r my 2nd favourite band 2nd only 2my favourite band i.e. the Human League. I love the B.side of this song ie The Butterfly Collector. And I often do my drum kit inpression 2this gr8 track among others. Paul Weller m8 I think that u r ACE 2me and u should hear my drum kit sound affect impression. Which sounds like the real thing. If I am not mistaken, the older gentlemen who introduces the band is Paul Weller's Dad. Weller's Dad managed the band from their early days (when Paul was 15 years old).

He was a driving force literally behind The Jam and introduced every gig the same way ... i was lucky enough to see them live 5 times my favourite being Poole Arts Centre supported by The Vapours who Bruce Foxton managed and later played bass for. John Weller was a lovely man and used to let in hundreds of kids to watch their pre gig sound checks ... most of them had bunked off school to do so!

Foxton should do an Andy Summers legal move on Weller. His harmonies and bass lines defined and elevated the songs so much.

Weller is just a cut above because of his song writing and everything he encapsulates staggers me. But he wouldn't be that man without Rick and Bruce! Nice to meet a fellow Jam fan Colin.. 😁

Pity they used to SPREAD OUT too much on those BIG stages. Had they stuck together they would have had more effect (LIVE and on film).

After Paul breaking up the Jam, he might as well completely stopped making records. He was nothing without the other 2.
