Nosy bystanders did an 8 hour interview with Brandon earlier this year. I believe there’s a lot more to this story than face value and that this young man has been railroaded for his ties to the Jakes clan. Nevertheless, whatever has ACTUALLY occurred will all come out in the wash. This girl will be a legal adult in a couple of years and may be old enough now to become an emancipated minor. I look forward to hearing DIRECTLY from her mouth rather than Cora’s allegations.

I followed this ministry for many years, but the stories that have unfolded with Bishops strong ties with Tyler Perry and Oprah speaks volumes. And let’s not forget about Cora’s illegal adoption of her good friends son (Jason). I’m just so done with this family.

Why keep mentioning this little girl's trauma to the public? She needs privacy and counseling to help her get through this. Platforms like these keep mentioning it. The Jakes don't have to. What is it really going to do in the little girl's eyes?? That dude is a monster to violate the child!! I'm concerned for the children in this situation, and not profis or views for any channel that's profiting from this situation. Remember, children are all over the Internet. How does it encourage them to constantly RELIVE their trauma by reading about it repeatedly??? Sure, the Jakes family should address it, yet more with her, the other child and Cora, so they can heal. Could it be their hearts bleed for her, more than our thoughts on this matter? Maybe they think they're doing the right thing for not constantly bringing it up. People can be cruel. Those children still love their mom and grandparents, too.

Just for a moment, imagine the public and personal humiliation of the CHILD, let alone the personal grief of losing a Dad to prison. Just because something happened doesn't mean that it's EVERYONE'S business. Justice was served in a court of law as well as I'm SURE God's taking care of this ordeal, just as He would in YOUR Family. According to the Word of God, WE are NOT judge and jury. What gives ANYONE the right to DEMAND to know anything that is going on with another's Family? How YOU judge is how You WILL be judged. Having been a victim of the very same crime, and YES, it's horrific indeed, if You are indeed a Christ Follower and a Believer of His Word, We ALL should be Praying for everyone involved instead of posting about GOSSIP, and that's what THIS is: nothing but chatter meant for evil and religiousity. Christ Followers are to be KNOWN for the LOVE They give, not for likes of the internet. You're supposed to be ABOVE this. Why do You look at the speck....'nuf said. We have to have more conversations and open public about child abuse. Not in all cases, but in some cases, I hate to say this, but family members do know, especially mothers they know…maybe they were abused themselves and don’t know how to respond.. whatever the reason is I’m not protecting people that ignore signs …obvious signs I’m not protecting them not here, not anywhere. It’s not necessarily true that Cora Jakes ex husband will spend the remainder of his life in jail. He received 20 years for each of the two charges to be served consecutively or concurrently? You did not state. If concurrently, at most, he would be 53 after serving 20 years. Ultimately, he will not serve all 20 years. If he received a total of 40 years to be served consecutively, he would be 73, which is not the rest of his life. If he was not guilty he should not have pled. Where was Cora when her ex husband was allegedly raping their adopted daughter? Cora knew that he was not being intimate with her do she should have figured this all out.

I’m not surprised by any of this. Church folks NEED to stop idolizing their leaders. Respect, support and appreciation have nothing to do with ignorance and idolatry. We listen and adhere to their teachings more than the Word itself. STOP the foolishness of walking and being lost sheep. The truth of Christhas already set us free yet we enslave ourselves at the mercy of these preachers who prostitute the church.
