I've always thought the XJ-S is a cracking looking car. I've never understood the criticism but that might be because I was born long after the car was launched and was already becoming a classic.

Pues logico que es por eso. Las críticas tenes que verlas en la época del auto para entenderlas, no 40 años después. Es como las películas de "culto" todas en su momento fueron criticadas , censuradas y muchas fueron fracaso comercial y hoy en dia son de peliculas se culto.

These cars do look better in real life than on video/photo. I had. avery rotten 1978 car sitting on my driveway for quite a few years and even though it was so rusty, it still looked amazing. I feel so bad now about selling it for spares as it was a work of art.

My dream cars are Jaguar XJS’s always have been I love them the looks and power they can have magnificent racing history with TWR really got everything out of them

Absolutely beautiful cars and they was well built not like they say they was put together very good and if service regular they would last a long time and not like today's s*** cars❤ x

I think to be fair to the haters, ALL cars look ugly compared to a Series 1 E-Type.

I would parry with: before Ford owned them, Jaguar never built a car that wasn't beautiful....just different levels of beauty.

Lovely car but I do prefer the early rubber bumper series

I would give that title to the XJ6 & XJ12 from 1995-1996 they are truly beautiful

I just purchased my first XJ-S it is a 1984 V12 Coupe in cobalt blue I am restoring the whole car and it is a running V12. But it's going to be hot when it is finished❤

I saw 3 jaguar type E in 3 day and i have concluded it is the best looking car i ever saw

Just for the record....I think its really nice that young people express their delight more than we did in our day.

If that was your car Ed. you would have cleaned it prior to the video. 😃

@@TwinCam ok ok. I'll agree with you. Those cars aren't well received here in the states. They have a bad reputation for unreliability but they are really cool. Like a Gentleman's high speed touring car. 👍 So in the end. I agree 👍

It was certainly unique in design but for me the XK100 is the height of stunning design

It's deffo more interesting than a lot of more modern stuff. But I always disliked it. If you check out the Triumph 2000, from 1963 you can see where the XJS design came from 12 years later. And don't forget that you need to compare it to the previous Jaguars Mk3 and Mk4 which were really gorgeous and entirely unique in design when they came out.

Not even the best looking jaguar, but good looking, nonetheless
