Hello everyone, MT here with the usual trainspotting action! Welcome to ‘The Jacobite’ steam train tour from Fort William to Mallaig, along the West Highlands Line. The trip showcased of why this line is among the world most scenic railway journeys, with its incredible scenery of all the mountains and lochs. But of course, there were its own landmarks such as the iconic Glenfinnan Viaduct, seen many times within the Harry Potter films. Anyways, the trip that I took was the morning Jacobite which left Fort William at quarter past ten and later arrived at Mallaig around half twelve. Along the way, you’ll see the breath-taking landscapes it passes by even seeing UK’s highest mountain, Ben Nevis behind me. As the title says, the locomotive was LMS 45407 ‘The Lancashire Fusilier’ and its coaching stock were Mk1 coaches owned by West Coast Railways. Please note that the whole journey was just over two hours, but this film does not cover the whole thing but mainly the essential parts. Hope you all enjoy this!

This is on my bucket list
done this trip earlier in the month ,sadly wasn't allowed to film through open windows on the doors due to new rules , but a fantastic trip ,and well worth doing, we went extra and went first class , well worth treating yourself . I can also recommend to stay at the premier inn fort William as its within walking distance of the station ,so no need to worry about parking , also a little tip go to the Morrisons opposite to grab a cream tea to take away. but on the train you do get provided with a treat box and free hot drinks which we didn't expect. so well worth it for a memorable day out .currently only one train running per day due to new rules , but this may change soon
