1. Use active recall (do problem sets, practice questions, etc. instead of just copying text) 2. Focus on what you arent good at 3. Do homework on the same day (i.e. get things done early) 4. Eliminate distractions (put phone on airplane mode and put it away) 5. Change study environment (e.g. clean up room/table, define certain separate space specifically for studying) 6. When in the zone, get more done (i.e. "leveraging study momentum) -- set goal and prove to yourself that you can get it done

This video saved me. Ever since I started school, I have had nothing but A's and A+s without having to study more than an hour each day. In middle school, I studied for twice as long, sometimes even for 3 or 4 hours, but my grades fell to as low as a B- and I never got anything higher than an A- for a long time. But now that I have started high school, I know I needed to change. This video was right before all the assessments, and I'm proud to say I can study for just one hour each day and get only A+s, which is better than before! However, this semester is over, and the next one will be harder, so I will switch to studying for 2 hours, as the video says. Incredible work! You have potentially saved me from a life of mediocrity in the 9-5 20 bucks an hour hell, and I will forever remember you for that.

That’s the best of those video about study problems and solution i’ve never seen before. Keep it up mann !
A well-explained video. Gonna apply these tips from this person to maximize my academic productivity for less time, by the time my school break ends, so that I can still have time to create some mashups, or any personal things I really like to do.
Who get the best grades with least amount of study time, this is surely studying effectively, as in CS it really fits the effective management of resources both time and space. You're a genius made!
this actually opened my closed mindset that has helped me a lot in this needy time, thanks.
This is a great video.Noemalyy I skip vids like this but this one actually catches my attention and I even wrote notes on this.Thank you collin
As an 8th grader, im glad i saw this before high school! And about the time management, they give our homework for the day and i just finish it in school whenever any teacher is absent or after the class ends and there's a short break! Usually during snacks/lunch break I eat quickly and do the homework lol. Also, teachers make us do our incomplete but I finish that days work so I can attend my extra-curricular classes in the evening:D new sub!! love the way you portrayed these effective tips:)

@@Narasimha_TheSher just implies the lack of actual practical advice than other youtubers who claim to offer somehow advice that translates to practical sense, anyhow this is 100% purely my opinion not saying anyone doesnt but a lot atleast
You make so much sense man, gonna help me ace these finals
The biggest problem for me is distractions, focus, and motivation. My tips and advice for this has been studying in other places that "feel" like a study environment, such as the library, or putting on a playlist specifically for studying. Removing distractions as you said really helps, but if you're studying in a dorm/bedroom, then its easy to glance at your bed and want to lay down. Another thing is I struggle with actually sitting down and just doing it. What I do is tell myself "just do it for at least 10 minutes". This kinda plays in the motivation leverage because typically once I start something, I want to finish it. One more thing I use is the pomodora technique, which is incredibly popular now, but I can only really focus for 15-20 minutes straight. That routine of casual small breaks helps with my focus a lot, and helps with the urge of wanting to check my phone, since I can just concince myself I'll be able to check it during my break.

thank uuu so much! I do study a bit more then 2 hours but thats because i cant do other wise heh. im not a slow learner, but my distraction does get a bit off when i dont take breaks. im currently taking a break for example. I gotta get back to vocabulary in a bit. For example, spanish vocabulary tasks right now are really a lot and its a subject im just not thaat good at so it does take me like 3-4 hours a day for 50% of the vocabulary..since i wanna keep them in my long term memory. Im not good with flashcards so yah i dont use them only. I first look in the book, take like 5-10 minutes to kind of know them, and then start writing them down. Of course first time writing down will be really messy and i wont know everything but i know that and thats okay. the more i repeat the more i know them. There are little things happening in between that i learn them a bit faster by each writing down but i wont say them because i dont know how lol. My school doesnt have hw so i dont need to do any heh. But I do try my best to learn as early for exams as possible. Im already learning well for my math and english exam. I still got struggles with learning spanish because i haaaate learning spanish, tho im working on it. ^w^ Have a wonderful day beautiful human!
I will try my best :)

This actually. Deep work is the key in studying. I can only study 4 hours max a day and it may go longer if I feel my momentum to do more. I respect my set rest days in order to help me recharge and rest well before tackling the next week. And remove distractions - I usually put my phone on silent or just turn it off whilst doing deep work.

When i was in primary school, i used to just do alot of practice questions, and i always was the first in there. And now on secondary school, i didint got straight As because i totally had forgotten hiw i used to study😢. now this video made me recap how i used to study there
I have to say I think I'm more like this dude. It some times comes from genetics, but as he said anyone can do it.
