Corbyn missed a trick by not being there. Would have turned it from a almost 'fringe debate' to one with merely an 'empty chaired' May. Big mistake.

It is true although also it would have meant he was going to take a little flak from parties which wouldn't have normally had the means to give him any so yah. Realistically the polls wouldn't have changed by much either way but tbh i'm with you on this one. Lets him be just that little bit higher on his horse.

I agree. And if the media are really against him as he claims, then a live leaders debate is a rare chance to get around that. I did enjoy Nicola's swipe at Nuttall being May's spokeman.

I hate people who talk over someone else, the debate is not about party leaders winning an argument it is about allowing the party leaders to answer the questions that the British public want answers too.

I find it odd that on one hand UKIP says people are the best judge of how to spend money, yet when it comes to education they seem to believe that people are not able to best determine for themselves whether or not they should go to university. If there is demand from the people for the "too many courses," who is UKIP to question that?

Economic and political cooperation with foreign powers _necessarily_ entails a loss of sovereignty. Nuttall advocates leaving the EU on the basis that it will enable the UK to trade more freely with third parties (India, China etc). However, I wonder if his delusions about 'national sovereignty' would not also preclude an effective bilateral agreement with these countries as it did with Europe.

These debates are about performance , the ability to stand up in front of an audience and perform ... the closest skill to a polished politician is a comedian, practiced, rehearsed and delivered. Teresa May doesn't have these skills so why would she fall into the trap. She's not that kind of performer but she is a politician with a heart and that is what we are voting for. So don't judge her for her stand up skills, judge her for her policies.

Tim Farron last played a part on Thunderbirds. They did a good job hiding his strings. Lian Woods stated Australia had a bigger immigration than the UK. Tha's because Australia needs what they need but, still operate a points system. She always was, as thick as two short planks. Caroline Lucas lives on cloud nine and wants to do a deal Kim Yun Chun, or, whatever his name is, over Nuclear weapons. Good luck with that. Sturgeon speaks with fork tongue as usual. At least Nuttall appears to speak with common sense.

May is disintegrating more and more every day, all she can do is read from an auto-cue. She has an appalling record as PM and Corbyn would destroy her in a debate.

I cannot watch Farron and Sturgeon for very long. We should ensure we give Wales the same amount of money per head of population as we do to Scotland under the Barnet formula. Wales supported Brexit and yet we pander to Wee nippy because she shouts the loudest.

32:18 Paul's face at Tim's lies. Current Staffing levels in the NHS, from the EU. He says 1/4 - 25% Across the UK, EU immigrants make up 10% of registered doctors and 4% of registered nurses. Much more of our NHS staff, are made up from OUTSIDE the EU. Tim is also incorrect about our trade with the EU. He says half of our trade is with the EU. Around 17 years ago (2000's), 55% of our trade WAS done with the EU. Since then, it has steadily DECREASED to 43%. What would it be like in another 15 years? And the EU's trade with the rest of the world has steadily DECREASED with the rest of the world, too.

Adam Ball that's not at all what happened. He said 1/4 of NHS staff were not from the UK, and much of them were from the EU. Not from the UK does not equal from the EU. So he did not lie.

Ok, yes I stand corrected. Although he is still misleading people on 2 counts re foreign nationals working in the NHS 1. The only figure that is close to what Tim is saying, is that 26% of our DOCTORS are foreign nationals. Total percentage of foreign nationals working in the NHS is 11%. 2. Skilled migrants, as been said time and again, would be welcome in the UK. And that would count for nurses and doctors. Certainly, you'd be welcomed into Aus/NZ with those skills.

It was, basically, politicians with a grasp of reality (and an audience with a grasp of reality) versus Paul Nuttall. Every single one of points (or rather, his one point that he reiterated over and over again) was comprehensively refuted.

You thought that Green candidate , Plaid Cymru candidate and Sturgeon had a grasp of reality; have you taken a blow to the head? Paul Nuttall was speaking for the majority of people , the 52 per cent and the point I was making was that while the majority of people outside of Parliament wants Brexit , the vast majority of the MPS in Parliament are Remainers , which clearly was shown on this programme 4 on 1 . Which underlines my point of a disconnect between the people and Parliament.

So many people say 'our NHS if full of migrants and is reliant on it' as a good thing! It's crazy that we have let our country become reliant on migrant workers, they should be welcomed here to benefit and improve our country, not to be relied on to prop it up, Brexit will hopefully bring the balance back

To me this just highlights how much of a shame it is that the vast majority of uk politics is shifting further to the left and the viable right wing voices are disappearing. If Farage was still in the picture, I'd have no hesitation voting for UKIP, but Nuttall doesn't seem capable of leading a strong message and keeping stupid accusations from the other leaders at bay..
