Let us exchange mana prisms for rare prisms. Like 5k mana prism for 3 rare prism per month, if we're being stingy. But ideally better than that.

Put them in lotto boxes! It doesn't have to be an unlimited amount but I think if they put in 1 rare prism in the first 10 or 20 lotto boxes (or more!) it would really improve the economy of the game, working in tandem with the other ways of getting rare prisms.

I've got like 250, and I've read various articles online and am still not sure what is worth spending them on.

Honestly, I think the best way to fix the rare prism issue is to start adding them in as base rewards for Events. I don't think they should necessarily be locked behind things like CQs because then new players simply can't access them. I think they should be on the lines of mission or ladder rewards.

*Technically* speaking, we do get rare prisms from event reruns that have welfares(assuming we already got them NP5 on the OG run). *The only problem is JP seems to started the no rerun policy so we ain't getting jack now*

Adding Rare Prisms to the Mana Prism shop at a cost of maybe 1k and limit exchanges to a few per month would be nice. Either that or adding them to the daily login would be nice too.

Yeah, I think even extending that to other things for the mana prism shop would be ideal. Like 1 bond grail per month for like 5k prisms. Once you've played FGO long enough, the regular mana prism economy becomes so inflated. I've been sitting at over 100k for years...

The only issue I have with this is that mana prisms are a huge issue for new players too. Whales and people who've done a lot of grinding are running around with hundreds of thousands of them. Budgeted and newer players tend to have far less. So basically my NA account would love this and it would allow me to buy everything from the NA RP shop. My JP account would hate this. 😂

Bingo. I'm not F2P, I spend $200-$300 a year, and I'm sitting nicely as 0 Rare Prisms. I can barely keep up with buying monthly bond grails most of the time. On the other hand I have 40,000 Mana Prisms. If I could trade those at an exchange of 1,000:1 then I'd be all over it.

To this day, I don't understand the logic of making the 2nd to 5th Event Welfare copies for NP5 cost Rare Prisms. The upfront cost of paying RP is already high for newer players/f2ps/low spenders to get those old welfares they missed. It doesn't fix the root RP economy issue, but I'd like to see some kind of QoL for the Event welfares

I think it was ok as long as they kept giving reruns to finance it, but as those have run dry this has become a real problem.

Yeah, for example, paying 1 rare prism to get another copy of 4* welfare BB or 4 to max out BB's NP is very shitty for players and particularly the newer players. I don't even think it makes sense for whales with plenty of rare prisms to spend on this because they undoubtably have better servants to upgrade than a 4*. And, for heaven's sake, she's Moon Cancer so her optimal use is very niche. I'm sure that most people realize this, but Lasengle monitors what players do in their game so if no one buys these extra copies, it will send a message that this is a dud and maybe they will change it. I am very much a believer that if enough players vote with their feet/wallets, they will get the message. This even holds true for the free in-game currency.

I always thought they could make so that after every 5 interludes and strenghtening quests you did you get a rare prism

As a new player I really appreciate you’re guides/discussions. The game lacks some details and isn’t too clear on how things work. The community seems….odd is the best way to put it lol. I’ll get the occasional good advise but most of the time I’m met with the typical “it’s pretty obvious” manga reader head ass, giving me the most obscure responses that don’t really help lol. So I do really appreciate these videos. Thank you :)

Yep, I've seen some pretty terrible advice given over the years. There's a lot of things that are up for debate but I always try to approach things from a perspective of building the best account you can for all budgets and try to do my best explaining the inner mechanics of the game! Glad to know they've helped you!

I'd say that any consistent method of getting RP would be good, whether that be with total logins, a new category of monthly missions, or anything along those lines. Story completion would also be an option, but tbh that's not actually very consistent either, with the massive gaps between story releases (and story completion rewards are pretty packed already).

I have far more Mana Prisms than I could ever use due to Lottos. I'd love to convert some into Rare Prisms.

There's also a flip side to this issue that whales, especially who are long time players, know well. After a certain point you have nothing to spend prisms on (sans the monthly lores, bond grails etc.) From what's in the RP shop already its clear that it was partly meant to hold legacy content that ppl wouldn't have access to otherwise such as event CEs, but then they just stopped adding to it (not to mention the price for some of them is still ridiculous). If they're going to keep the system as-is (imo they really shouldn't) they should at least be adding to that regularly. There are plenty of 5* CEs players would love to have/MLB at least one copy of, and baiting ppl into rolling on CE banners is not an efficient way to do that.

Yeah I know that's one of the real issues people have with the main interludes, is the fact that they don't include CEs. It's pretty telling that I haven't had to update my old rare prism guide in years because the changes to the da vinci shop have been so minimal with regards to them that it's just not warranted.

As a F2P NA player who is at 1200+ days on the game, I'm in state where I only need pure prism for Bond Grails and sometimes a lore (shortage rn). These two become really important as a F2P because of the early implementation of Append skills and lvl120. The coins and Mana loading are badly needed to keep up with competent lineup. I almost got what I need in rare prism shop; CE, MC, main interludes. Yeah, I burned some sr dupes but mostly the ones I think I will never used. I always try to maximise every opportunity to have a decent amount of RP/lore incase I need it immediately.

As a new player I've yet to even see a single rare prism, mana prisms are hard enough to come by. Wish I could get access to some of those interludes and mystic codes but it feels unattainable

I have two different ideas, the obvious idea is having them as story clear rewards, another would be monthly challenges where you receive 3 per month by completing three challenges same as weekly just up the numbers. In total you’d get 36 a year, not too bad

I'm an old player and I'm VERY conservative with my RP because I remember when I had 0 and that was it.... Thanks to the 275025 spooks I can buy a thing or two now but I prefer to wait until I have no other choice.

I actually really like what JP has been doing for the past year or something, where they make things free in the rare prism shop if you have met some criteria like story completion. I know most of the time it’s stuff people wouldn’t buy, but if they were to make some of the mystic codes free from time to time it would really be helpful to newer players

The main thing is that they should have fixed it ages ago, and yet years have passed, and thers still funny amount of costumes and crazy low droprate for materials and even worse situation with crystallized lore. Thers a lot to fix (like that funny 900sq pity), but thers definitely not a lot of progress. Is it a case of they dont know what to start with, i dont think so. And even if they start fixing things, it will most likely be like one fix/one year. It just takes sooooo long.

Something that I think is relevant to the discussion is that they've been tying rp shop items to main story completion. This is over time, eliminating a lot of the potential rp cost for newer accounts. Obviously this doesn't fix the issue of income but it does make it so you need less to get the point where rp isn't something you need to worry about too much.

Mana prisms if you loto farm all your apples you will eventually have overflow manaprisms after 1 and a half years of playing as a f2p. As a f2p i bought the best mystic codes and bond craft essences from the mana prisms and rare prism shop. I have already also bought all 2nd archive slots for servants and craft essences, so now i have no use for mana prisms so yeah mana prisms conversion to rare prisms would be great and highly needed. Keep in mind i never let a single apple or AP go to waste and i tend to organize my schedule to be efficient playing this game. I no longer buy statues from the event shops since i have all my servants maxed and still have a loads os them.

I think they could fix the rare prism issue by them being obtainable through the fp gacha, they can also add a 100 spin to make this go faster, i personally think the rare prism shop shouldn’t be a thing that’s tied behind a difficult to obtain currency, the only problem I see with this is that it makes 6th copy for sr’s virtually worthless besides the coins

I just want rare prisms for servants of events like bb, Shiki, kintoki, etc

As a day one, GSSR-only player I always buy Bond-grails in the RP shop. I do every quest with as many bond grail servants as possible, so I get more bond points in a month than a single bond grail unlocks, so I constantly have slightly to few bond grails (I split my bond grails between farming and my favourite servants). Since I never unlock or level any appends for servants I know I won't use alot, I have enough lores to level my normal skills, even when I 10/10/10 all my 5* servants and some 4*s. So for me: 30 SQ for free every month >>> buying a lore, I don't really need. This month will be the first month where I can't buy the bond grail on the day of release, so I might not get one this time.

It's fine if you're a day one player, but for anyone else: buying/unlocking craft essences, extra copies of welfares, mystic codes, etc, is going to be the higher priority. Say you fondant au Chocolat MLB; that's 25 rare prisms: literal several years of farming as a free to play. Not to mention newer players won't have any of the permanent SRs at np5 which is a source of rare prisms. Especially with JP basically removing reruns, there is effectively no consistent way to earn rare prisms outside of burning servants. You'll get maybe a few a year from special campaigns and that's it.

I'm a brand new player, tomorrow is my 40th log in. I don't have much use for rare prisms at all at the moment, but I can see the lack of them be frustrating as time goes on. They really just need to do more old event reruns. Let me get some of the old welfares while I'm still new and need units, then as time goes on those same events become rare prism income. This game has a lot of event content that would require very little effort on the part of the developers to rerun, while providing something to do in between new releases. Even if they want to focus on new content, they had to delay the release of lost belt 7 in Japan. If they had a looser schedule with more event reruns they could give themselves more time to finish the new content without needing to delay it.

Rare prism is the easiest way to tell whether someone is actually a whale or not in FGO, If you can constantly and comfortably buy stuff from the Rare prism shop then you are a whale. If you think you spend a lot but still couldn't do that then the amount you're spending is only in the dolphin territory.

im probably never gonna get to the point where i burn a 5 star servant for a rare prism. even now, somehow after 3 years ive never burned a 4 either because i never gotten that many dupes yet. some of them are close though.

It would be nice if they added rare prisms to the weekly quest rewards, or at least something that could be be exchanged for rare prisms.

I first unlocked fragment of 2004, then 2 anniversary Blondie, from there I bought lunchtime, teatime, mona lisa and bella lisa, I had to burn some 4★, but I didn't feel it was a bad investment

If you got the SQ from all the SRs before burning them It isnt as bad

It'd be neat if 4/5stars gave rare prisms at bond 6-10 and 3 stars and below gave mana prisms

I view this as a major newbie problem. If you join the game late, you need to spend buckets and buckets of rare prisms to catch up, buying all the things you missed. If you've been playing since launch, even C2P, then you don't really have much problem, because 90% of the things in the shop, you already have, and the rest, you get enough F2P Rare prisms for it. I don't know the best way to fix this, but I think it would be something that would grant new players a ton of rare prisms that veterans wouldn't get, or maybe offering a second shop that has most of the same stuff (specifically, the "second chance" content), that uses a new currency that new players could get while catching up, while still locking out the things that veteran players would want. That way, you could spend either RPs or this new currency to get the Main Interlubes and old CEs.

Here's an idea treat them like the crystallized lores

That would certainly be a way to keep it under control and yet give measured progress for the accounts that need it most!

It is definitely challenging being a sub 365 login player; between the Mystic Codes, Bond/QP CEs and Event Interludes I am already in RP debt.

I find it just a little funny that the Ordeal Call update came not too long after this. Yeah, it's still a long term thing but considering the sheer quantity of all the rewards I think it's good.

Them putting rare prisms in the shop would be huge

Thats nothing lol, one interlude cost 5 RP and the 4 aditional copies of the welfare servant costs 2, and ALL the farming CES we need to grab too lol

I burnt stheno year 1 so I could get the rare prisms to buy something its like year 3/4 and I still havent gotten stheno back t.t

maybe adding a prism as a weekly missions reward would help?

When the first time I've play this game I'm shock that this game it's to expensive. I think it's might be developed just for rich and wealthy players. It's not fair for free to play players. I hope developer can solve this issues.

As a player that only logs in to complete events and get daily rewards am conflicted. I got enough rare prisms to not care (over a year of playing) but no idea what best to buy. I got 33 rare prisms only bought a few items like that forced target for 1 turn.

Get the 2 interludes lol, bunch of materials and SQ , not to mention seraph interlude was one of the best stories in any event imo.

I think RPs should be given in login streaks. every 7 days = 1 RP.

They're not done with them, but the devs have said that they're prioritizing newer content now, and that while you will still get them, their focus is on more exciting content.

At this point they should give one rare prism by doing the Master missions or as a event reward.

either add them to events or make so every 20 3 star servants you toss you get 1 rare prism. make it so its not like the rarest thing in the world. I only started playing in July of last year and i felt overloaded by the prism shops. I really wish they had an auto button for grinding

Bond grail is my biggest issue, I'm raising 3-4 servants at once at it's hell, I'm sitting at 0 grail and i have to grail my servants in less than a month

I keep the first copy but I do burn anything that I know I won't ever use. I have a 110 NP3 Lambda, so Fionn gets burned any time he shows up. There's so much overlap that you don't need that many servants, also you want to use your favorites for most content not some random spook, right. After Anni Blonde, 2004, all I buy with RP are bond grails. It's a nice passive income and the CEs aren't op enough to warrant the costs.

I'd say you'll certainly want a robust account for certain content. I'd also advise picking up the a decent amount of the RP shop CEs as they can be really nice for farming.

I think giving 2 Rare Prisms per month would be a nice way to compensate for a login Bonus..

for the specific campaign summon only servants once you get them to np5 you wouldn't have any reason to pull on their banners ever again as for the supports (e.g. castoria, skadi) 1 copy is enough in the stand point of an f2p like me unless their my fav and want to np5 them

Maybe get a rare prism after buring 5* CE. Really want to NP 5 my BB....

I've got a fairly new account in JP (six months old as of now), and the only thing I've used rare prisms for is Anniversary Blonde and Main Interludes. Frankly, for a new player I have to disagree with the aversion to burning SRs. There are certain ones you can absolutely afford to sacrifice, especially if you don't particularly like them. Burning additional copies of Yuri Pirates for instance got me Anniversary Blonde in time for LB4 (where it's a borderline necessity for a certain boss fight), and I have never once regretted that decision. Now, I would only do so if you know FOR SURE that the unit isn't necessary for you (I have been playing FGO NA for a few years at this point, so I was confident in who I did and didn't need), but I don't think that option should be prohibited.

Did you got their bonding SQ b4 burning them? A bunch of Sr didnt even got interludes yet so burning them also means burning more future SQ wich means theres no way in hell its worth to burn an SR If you didnt got all their potential SQ . If you did it and still do It its on you, but dont spread terrible advice like that to new players without explaining the consenquences dude.

@@devildowndevildown6261 Keeping one copy for the purpose of SQ is worth it. But if you have other copies of a unit you don't give a crap about, I still maintain it's more important to get rare prisms early on for anniversary blonde. Once someone has that mystic code, however, there's no real reason to go too crazy with burning for RP. As I said in my previous comment, you should only do this if you've done the research and you're absolutely sure you aren't going to use that unit, whether because you have someone better or you really hate them. But there are things in the rare prism shop that are going to be more valuable (and SQ efficient) to a new player than an extra copy of a mid SR.

The best way they could add more rare prisms, I think, is by having them as monthly log in bonuses. Like you logged in for the whole month, boom, rare prism. It's not the hardest thing to do, whales can't abuse the system, and it still makes them rare. Heck you could just have it on a monthly timer, so every 30th login you get a rare prism.

9:03 i think i might Disagree with you here Khad, Mana Prisms are Fairly Easier to Obtain now if you can clear the 30 AP Ember Quest Multiple times a day the minimum amount of Mana Prisms you can get from a quest by Burning silver Exp cards are 5 MP atleast or even more due to RnG in drop rates, And also with the mana prism Shop Very Stagnant , the mana prisms keep piling over

Retroactively add in rare prisms for 1st time main story progression. Fixed amount, especially helpful for newbies and f2p as it comes automatically with one of the primary things they want to be doing already.

Honestly the only good thing about rare prisms is getting costumes. What else would you get. The ce's are okay for farming qp or bond but there's really nothing else

As a whale, there's not enough to spend rare prisms on as well. I'm sitting on 700 of them right now. And that's with me spending the max every month.. even for the 100K friend points. So I absolutely do not want any more as event prizes without something else to use them with. Heck. Let people spend 10 on a grail or something.

Rare prisms are rare for a reason, otherwise players wouldn't have a long term goal to achieve. Giving them out on regular basis or make a mechanic to get them would defeat the purpose. As F2P I have ~40+ now and I have mostly nothing to spend it on after 3 years of playing. In other words, they are hard to get at first but if you keep playing the game you will have more than enough.

As a returning player, it seems like the whole point of rare prisms is to allow players to enjoy content they had missed. But, it's paradoxical because they've missed the original runs and/or the reruns required to give said rare prisms. That said, if someone argues that Lasengle wants us to pay to access this content, then I guess they have a decent stranglehold.

Rare prism system is bad but somewhat functioning at least on the other hand USO's nope.

Being rare is one thing, but being so rare that you can't use them unless you are a whale is another (also looking at you USOs). 1 - The most simple solution would be to add a RP to the 7th day login bonus. That way you are at least guaranteed the monthly Chaldean Visionary Flame. 2 - The same way they need to increase the lores, add RPs to those rewards. That way they need to add more stuff to the shops (we need more content, and less grind tbh. I used to play GBF, I know grind burnout VERY WELL). 3 - Get RPs upon reaching bond 10+, that way the Flames pay for themselves (or people can choose to spend them on other stuff, up to them) As a " F2P? " I used every single RP I got on the duplicate CCs, and all the CVFs I could get my hands on because I HATE to waste bond, and I need every single SQ they can provide me. As a day 1 player, I have been able to get 32 Flames in total so far (9 unused ATM)... and I am waiting to get a 3rd RP to get more Flames. Still, I only roll twice a year and I can count the number of NP5 SRs I have on one hand, so I almost never get any RPs outside of event reruns and that is only because I am a day 1 player. A newer player not only needs 4 times the RPs I get, they would need years to get them at a steady pace like a day 1 player (without spending money)... and the fact that they are doing less reruns on JP doesn't help.

I see you want the Bond Grails to be practically free, but I think it would be too good to be true. I'd say adding RPs to the event rewards would be a good solution. Make them about as rare as Lores (maybe a bit less) seems reasonable to me. That way we can get a Bond Grail once every few months and we can actually buy all the CEs and MCs in the shop. A Bond Grail needs quite a lot of time to return its value so I don't think most people would need Bond Grail every single month.

@@Tom_TP I absolutely chew through bond grails. It's an immense amount of time to level a servant's bond level, and time is money, so even at 1 RP they'd be far from "free". Do a lotto hard enough and you can go through a small handful of bond grails in a couple weeks.

This game is just the most stingy free to play game i ever played. Play it once then drop it its not like the events are even that good. Most of this game you can just watch on youtube and get the same experience.

This is all very good advice but I respectfully disagree on burning units. I believe one should definitely keep one copy of every servant but there's no reason to NP5 a shitty SR that you're never going to use vs burning them for more RP.

I don’t see this as a problem at all. Especially for new players. Except Anni Blonde, there’s nothing they could immediately benefit from/afford. Even the CEs like Mona Lisa/Lunchtime require 5k each. If they are F2P, best they can buy is the bond grail for the free Quartz.

I've been playing fgo since year 1 and I Think this is 100% a community caused issue not FGOs, we had plenty of reruns between years 1-3 but then the community complained constantly about "too many reruns" "my stuff doesn't feel special cuz everyone has it" "we want more new events not the same stuff" and well FGO listened now yall are dealing with the sequences of your actions. Don't look a gift horse in the mouth, don't bite the hand that feeds you, insert other analogies here. You reap what you sow.

As someone who has been playing since launch in NA I have everything I want, except for the monthly Chaldea fire grail, the gold fous aren't worth it.
