@@SimplyChaotic98 I won't blame Fritz for what he did toward the end of his life, but he still raised a household of boys that didn't know how to talk about their problems and it killed 4 out of the 6 of them, leaving the 5th to carry the burden all alone. As someone who never had a dad, I am extremely generous to patriarchal figures. But Fritz looked exactly as he should've looked in Iron Claw, because he was not that good of a dad. He failed Chris and Mike especially, Kerry and David you could argue would always get into wrestling and would always fall down to the drugs that were pumped in wrestling, but Chris and Mike were destined for different things had they lived in a household that allowed them such thoughts.

It came right after the afterlife scene and I was legit crying the whole time... movies ND TV shows don't normally do that to me unless I feel a connection with the story or character. My dad on the other hand, lost his 4 hr old brother when he was run over by a car at the age of 4 in 1952 and has carried that visua ever since. I think that's why that scene made me cry like I did. That and the whole duality of happiness, in life and in death. Just a beautiful ending to an absolutely TRAGIC story. Obviously some things were left out but the people behind this film were all exceptional. Every last one of them... except the actor who played Ric Flair 😂 that portrayal was 🔥 🗑 hope it doesn't derail whoever that actor is career but that's the kind of role that can do it when you are mis cast AND botch it like that. Not saying it's his fault, just the worst part of the film

People need to remember there are three types of "TRUE STORIES." 1. True Story. Everything is accurate. 2. Based on a true story. There are some various variations from what really happened, such as time line, locations etc. And 3. Inspired by a true story. For example, Texas Chainsaw Massacre, inspired by Ed Gien from Wisconsin. The Iron Claw is BASED on a true story, not everything will be 100% accurate.

I understand the time and storyline complications with the decision on Chris, although I would rather he been added. I also was moved and got the reason they did the afterlife scene the way they did. The boys had always talked about them all being together again after such hardships took them away from each other. The room got real quiet when the scene started and my daughter said she sure hoped God give them their time together. The movie had tragedy for sure, but their love and bond was the best thing.

I am so disappointed that they left Chris out of the movie! The majority of viewers knew the story of the Von Erich's before seeing the movie. To leave Chris out was a grave injustice! Chris always wanted to live up to his brothers success and committed suicide because he couldn't follow in their footsteps. Kerry also took Chris death very hard and it definitely attributed to him taking his own life to be with his brothers. The film should have seriously gotten input from Kevin! Not just meet him for a day before the release. This was a huge mistake! The movie was an emotional and revealing revelation but definitely left out so many details and a Family member! Unbelievable! Missed opportunity! Should’ve been a six-part, two-hour episodic TV miniseries devoted to Fritz and the five brothers: Episode 1: Fritz Von Erich Episode 2: David Von Erich Episode 3: Mike Von Erich Episode 4: Kerry Von Erich Episode 5: Chris Von Erich Episode 6: Kevin Von Erich This would’ve been a perfect structure to tell everyone’s story concisely and thoroughly. Maybe even score some Emmy awards. I should’ve been the director/writer/producer on this project. Missed opportunity, indeed!

Really great movie…but my god you couldn’t have found a worse actor for Ric Flair! None of the charisma or mannerisms were down (then again, Flair is a one of a kind at that anyway) and the guy couldn’t wrestle worth a crap (what little he was shown on screen anyway) They definitely should have hired current or former wrestlers for those type of scenes, like they did with 2 specific matches (one is a blink and you missed it cameo!)
