It doesn’t matter how good the manufacturer is, it will always topple over because the centre of mass of a person sitting down is behind the only contact with the floor which is this guys feet. The only way this works is if they are stuck to the ground in a way that counteracts his weight such as through a rod into the ground

I had actually used this along with 11 other students for a performance on Annual day. The base was much bigger. We could sit. There was like a hole in the exoskeleton and on the big plank we were all standing which had like plugs to put the holes in. We did alotta interesting stuff including going like full back.please note that only one of the exoskeleton had the plug

If it locked at about 100⁰ then you might have been able to sit. At 90⁰ It is in an unstable equilibrium and so the centre of mass is shifted towards the back. Hope that helps.
